The English translation on this is pretty funky. Nonetheless, I have watched "The Double" so many times I have practically learned the dialogue by heart. This is, obviously, a favorite of my C/K-dramas. The two leads are fabulous, and I have written that many times, but I also want to mention the great ensemble cast! Especially to the portrayal of Princess Wanning. The actress played it as a Shakespearean tragedy. Her time as a hostage damaged her so much emotionally and physically that she became a twisted, confused, cruel person.. and the actress plays it perfectly. I don't like her, but I also understand what a victim she was as a young girl/woman. She was a damaged person. Everyone was great .... and so many interesting supporting characters and situations. I am so amused by the governor into Chinese opera. Gosh, will I ever tire of this show?.... OH, and the costumes!!! Duke Su's is the best!

Good drama and the lead actors are easy on the eyes of viewers. The English translation help for non Chinese but, too many errors.
