Everyone keeps saying the Texans Defensive personnel is second to the 49ers so that is why they'll beat the Vikings. I think that is a weird conclusion to come to considering the Vikings just man handled the 49ers defense. Fred Warner was the only 49er on Defense that helped keep the game from becoming a blowout.

The 9ers have not replaced Dco with anyone to DeMeco's equal since he left to coach Houston. It's going to be a close game just don't be surprised if the Vikings run game is shut down completely. QBs managing a chunk play in man coverage here or there is the only yards Houston has given up this year. Outside of that, run D has been lights out.

Plus....the quarterback. The limited film I saw of Purdy in that game wasn't good. CJ is much more difficult to defend for multiple factors. He'll take a profit on checkdowns if nothing else is open. He throws guy open and puts the ball in places that only his guy can get it and if the pass rush breaks through, he's athletic enough to scramble and make a play with his arm on the move. Better QB play makes all the difference in the world.

Well, the game is over. As I expected, Vikings D handled CJ well and offense did well against the Houston D. Flo makes QBs look bad with his schemes.

Texans beat the colts and the bears. Barely too. Vikings dunked on Giants and made the NFC Champs look confused. Very interesting to see people shit on the Vikings in this regard. No one mentions the above. But those are facts. Easy to get tons of yards on weak teams. I have this strange feeling that Vikings are going to also dominate Texans in all areas of the game. The only thing you guys said that had any weight is that this will be a good game.

@@metrecarter999 Yup, just like when we beat the Giants viciously, they talked about how Daniel Jones was the qb and all the faults within the team. Barely mentioned how great the defense played on our end and how efficient offense was with controlling the clock. We beat the NFC champs and are still not getting credit. It's mostly talk about how the 49ers will "learn" from this and be more prepared, as if they took the game lightly. They haven't beaten us yet at US bank, so I'm 100% certain they wanted that dub, and winning in the NFL is the MAIN PURPOSE. NFC champs from the prior year don't go into the season thinking "easy win, easy win, tough one, tough one" Nah you hear it all the time "onto the next game, forget the last one. EVERY FUCKING TEAM, regardless of what these jabronis in the national media spew. With all this being said, it sounds like Texans fans are tired of being underrated as well, but I never once heard them box out the texans as "contenders" in the offseason, so I have no clue what they are getting at. I feel the Texans are going to have to play their top game offensively to beat the Vikings. Any team that plays them has to. They're gellin' right now and its not even mid season 0_0

As a texans fan we will see what happens this Sunday, vikings defense has definitely impressed me but the offense is where I think we can do our damage. Darnold has played very well through 2 games but I'm sorry I just don't trust him, if stingley can do a decent enough job covering JJ I don't see the vikings have much success offensively since our run defense is very good and our pass rush is pretty nasty as well. Should be a good one may the better team win.

@@bobbythorton7693 thats the thing tho, demeco doesnt blitz much at all. Last week against the bears was a rare game where demeco blitzed a ton but that was because we saw how bad caleb was against the blitz against the titans in week 1 and wanted to heat him up and make him make quick decisions with the football. I don't think we do that same approach with Darnold, demeco will likely rush 4 like he usually does and have his defense defend swarm to the ball.

@@baylinrios3577 They might work on Jefferson but Speedy is almost as good. Brandon Powell is also a very good receiver. It's not just one guy. I'll tell you what, though. We were watching that game against the Bears and I think it was sometime in the 3rd quarter on a 3rd and long and Stroud was getting chased and he threw a dart to the receiver for a 1st down and both my wife and I at the same time said "Wow". Gonna be a good game unless one or the other team doesn't show up. Don't see that happening.

Should be a great game Another factor not taken Into account, is the Oline of Vikings are more solid, great tackles vs great left tackles and one guard and they look like they are still trying to gel a bit....Stroud quick release helps, but he's still been sacked 7 times vs Darnold's 4 times....Houston 2 prime edges vs a whole lot of blue chip rushers+Flores system Will be a solid game , ps also helps Minnesota being in their building

There are holes in Brian Flores's defenses, just like every defense, and Slowik and CJ are going to scheme up to find them. Saw some film on the 9ers game. Purdy was late on his throws, not taking a checkdown and opting to throw into double coverage instead, not leading a receiver into open space where only he could catch it (and was definitely there). Those same things won't happen with CJ. Put him in the exact same circumstance and coverages and you would get different results. It's going to be a great game but anyone feeling themselves over that 9ers win should calm themselves a bit. It's a quarterback driven league for a reason and the level of competition is increasing at noon tomorrow. Looking forward to some amazing competition. Go Texans.

Wait so Cj hasn’t seen Top tier defense ? Hmmm. Nico is leading the league in yards and Diggs and Dell haven’t even touched the ball much either . Texans haven’t even played a good game yet and still got the Dub . Had almost 150 yards in penalties and never established any type of rhythm in either game. They had 7 sacks last game and didn’t really play well. I think Sam is gonna give up a pick six or two and get harassed the whole game. CJ is gonna be CJ and not throw picks and run when needed. I think Texans gonna have a standout game. Hopefully refs don’t keep the Vikings in this one and let them play.

His ongoing lawsuit with the NFL probably played a part in him not getting a HC interview. He's also a better DC than HC. The Vikings had one of the worst ranked defenses two years ago. Flores took over the same players and got them to #11 in the league. Mind you, these were mostly players that were forced to play out of position and didn't fit well with BFlos scheme. The Vikings rebuilt the D in the off-season with guys that Flores hand picked. The results speak for themselves so far, but the Texans are going to be a really difficult test. I'm really excited to see how it plays out.

Brock Purdy is not CJ Stroud. So when you have to run 2 minute offense and need to push the ball down the field CJ Stroud is going to carry the Texans to victory.

Texans aren't the 49ers either. More like a diet version if that. Texans are down 2 running backs. One of the weakest O-lines in football. Good luck against the Vikings D. It's gonna come down to turnovers, like most games that have odd-balance on both sides. If the Texans win, I'll be fine with it, but I think they're gonna have a battle to do so. Vikings D is no joke. They're vibing hard as a group and it's not even mid-season.

Stingley got drafted over Sauce because he shut down chase and Jefferson as a freshman at LSU. Stroud is way better than Purdy. There is and will be a difference offense and defense from the texans vs the vikings. 49ners wasn't full strength Especially in the secondary and their secondary isn't close to the Texans. Mason ran for 100 yard against the vikings. Look at the YAC for Cam Akers last week bro it's at 4.6 yards per carry. QB difference will be why Texans win.
