Does the RNG for treasure hunter levels affect the speed of your runs? It looks like you know exactly how to get where an object is based on the spawn radar and first hints alone otherwise, but in runs like Halo Reach RNG has been known to almost been a run killer if the level sequencing throws something at the runner

Yeah absolutely, nice question - there's a lot of skill involved in the hunting levels but regardless of how well you play there's always a pretty big chance you lose a ton of time in every level to RNG. Playing perfectly with very good RNG compared with bad RNG can usually be a difference of around 30 seconds per level (sometimes more), which adds up very quickly and makes doing individual story runs at a top level very mentally taxing! There are also things like ambiguous hints where the piece could be in multiple locations so you have to guess and death strats where you kill yourself to re-roll the RNG in the hopes that a piece spawns close to where you respawn after dying, which can give you infinite timeloss if you get unlucky :) But yeah, it's very normal to reset runs to bad luck the same way you'd reset a run to any other 10-15s+ timeloss... you just have to try and keep realistic expectations and keep it from getting in your head too much :)

I just realized my sister and I watched your speedrun without knowing it was you, We were amazed the entire time and it was (for lack of better words) F***ing AWSOME! I loved the way every boss was optimized and Idk why but I got such a nice feeling when I was able to explain to my sister what trick you did because of the movement guide, I am definitely gonna check out more of your content and I have already subscribed! @@iden01 OOOH, I used to love sonic unleashed but I forgot about it for a long time, and I wanna get more into sonic adventure 1 as I don’t believe I have ever played through it completely (I am the youngest in my family at 15 and my sister is 22 so I was pretty late to start playing sa2 so I never got too into sadx much) but I will definitely stay tuned for that, do you stream on twitch or anything like that?
