What does it mean when it says Temporary Lockout

Temporary lockout simply means a regeneration is not needed at this time. You can only do a parked regeneration from the dash controls when the emissions system is requesting it. This helps prevent shortening the lifecycle of the emissions components by not allowing unnecessary parked regenerations.

@@PrevostVideos I have a 2010 h-3 with detroit 60 series. How often do I need to regen? I recently was shut down in Tulsa because I had a few codes preventing the regen. It had not been forced regen in about a year.. Is there any info I can find to learn more about my particular year?

@@RJNashcat Regeneration can only be done when the aftertreatment is requiring it. It is based on fuel used, engine load and duty cycle as well as pressure differential across the DPF. When the blue switch light comes on solid, it is time to do the regeneration. If ignored, it will start to flash alerting you it is critical. If ignored after that, you must connect a laptop to do the regeneration as the dash option will be locked out. If there is an active engine fault the fault must be corrected prior to being able to perform a regeneration.
