Price Increase for the Gold Pass!

The Season Pass in Clash of Clans is being increased in price. There are New Rewards and also Boosted Rewards due to this. Judo Sloth Gaming explains everything you need to know about this increase as well as comparing rewards to the old Gold Pass. Some of the New Rewards include the Builder Bank, Auto Forge Slot and extra cosmetics. These changes will come into place July 1st. So basically because of Covid they added some buffs that were long asked by the community but they suddenly took out those buffs and increased the price for an item and instead of adding more things to make people go outside they removed stuff and forced people.

they handled it well. unfortunatly the only thing that is worth in the pass are the time based reductions. everything else is either cosmetic/grindable. even the magic items like runes and rings arent that worth really, loot can be grinded. personally disappointed with this, would have liked to see a bigger builder/training/research time reduction for it to be worth. Also supercell add in another slot in the lab, there are so many upgrades!!

I agree with what you said about that even though there is a price increase, there are also more rewards, so we, as the players, are getting respected. I just feel like now (as all games are), they are somewhat forcing players to get rewards through purchases as opposed to just being able to play the game. Not that there weren't things like this before (used to be called memberships), but you usually didn't need it to make the game feel like the actual game, if that makes sense

It is very easy to say that it has improved and that the value does not matter when you live in the USA, here in Brazil it was an increase of 50% which is unacceptable, the improvement in items was in large numbers for the builder's village which in most cases is ignored by the players, so yes it was an unnecessary and bad increase.

Given all the upgrades to the pass, I'm fine with 7$. It's still not a lot and gets compensated although most of them aren't very interesting, especially the forge bonus, I used it once but it's mostly only used by maxed out players who can't do anything with their gold anyways. It definitely doesn't sound like the catastrophe Clash Royale has created

I genuinely really like super cell as a company. I think the price increase is understandable and very fair, it also is getting me excited for next month too. I usually buy the gold pass because I am going to be playing anyways, and I do want to support their company + I am a huge nerd about the art style and graphics. I am not a fan of micro-transactions or pay-to-win games at all, but super cell has done a really good job of balancing it out so people who do not spend money are still able to progress.

need additional options to be able to take the treasure chest if it is full before the gold pass ends, because if you follow the existing settings now by taking the treasure chest if the gold pass is over many players are upgrading the defense and it causes the builders to be busy so that the storage is full resulting in threats from looting and will cost the player as the loot is up to 1 million for each resource. therefore it is expected to add the option of taking the treasure chest if it is full before the gold pass ends by increasing the profit we can also spend resources with the use of a 20% discount in full.... ❤🎉🎉🎉

The biggest restriction I have with Clash's pass is that I can't immediately reap the speed and cost decreases (building, troops). I've never seen a rationale for that and I'd love to see it. Short explanation: I use the pass for accelerating base development more than anything else.

Because the main selling point is that while you don't get the rewards instantly, you get them for much, much cheaper than their true value. The only tradeoff is that you have to play to get them, which makes sense. They get engagement and a purchase that's worth it for many casual players, you get cool rewards 👍

I think the CR team releases it's update prior to COC updates so that the COC team can see their mistakes, find better solution and avoid the same situation as CR Well COC is supercells first successful game so they really try to keep it alive and F2P friendly in order to increase it's life. I would love if they make this as different levels of pass....coz honestly I don't see the value in builder bank once I max out that base. I feel it would be good if we have the $5 pass which gives rewards for home village and then $7 which gives builder base bank rewards in addition to the home village.

I’m guessing that’s why they added that forge related reward, so you can use those extra resources on getting loot for the clan capital

If u have multiple Accounts u can donate the pass to your main Account, if u have the money to spare some Goldpasses for the future. Now u get a giant discount (aroumd 35% off) with the methode shown in the video. Thx for the info Judo.

No wonder the heroes are getting a little cleaner with last update , probably so that you feel like your getting a better hero skin conpared to what you get from 5$. Given that they gave us extra rewards I'm fine with the changes even though i preferred the older pass more

Personally, I still think the hero skin plays a huge part on whether I’ll purchase the gold pass or not, for example the current goblin queen is not my cup of tea and hence I won’t purchase it no matter how ‘value’ it is

I also thought i wouldn't buy this pass because of the skin, but eventually i did and ngl that skin is pretty good imo. But it's understandable if others don't like it, but that 20% builder boost is insane

@@simondavidras4738 agree, the builder boost is insane, but the value of the pass actually depreciates over the season as the actual duration of the boost is going to be shorter as time goes on, so it’s too late for me to purchase the pass now😂
