Your videos are always helpful and detailed, thanks. I went through sierra forums and figured this out a while back but your video will help a lot of people. All those global symbol settings and everything can get to be a lot, not to mention the charts and saved studies. Definitely want some redundancy

Yeah there is a process to get familiar with Sierra Chart but it is definitely worth it.

@@PriceActionVolumeTrader yea it takes some serious hours in the beginning. I think I've used it daily for about a full year and a half now roughly, and i would hate to use anything else. I came from tradovate, interactive brokers before that. Trader Workstation is a little more involved than most so it was kind of a nice intro to sierra, not as intimidating Interactive brokers data feed was pretty good, way better than tradovate as far as ever having a lagging candle when it is fast. Then with sierra, even during CPI it doesn't miss a beat, it is near flawless

How do I copy chart settings to another instrument. Say I have MNQ setup with the DOM and charts how I want them with the VPs I want and other setting. How to I open up the same chart on MES?

I would right click on the chart tab at the bottom, hit "duplicate chart". This will make a copy with the exact settings and indicators you have on, and then just rename it and change the symbol to whatever other market you want on it. Just make sure to not have it linked to the original chart in the chart linking menu.

It will just make a copy of the individual chart you right click on and click "duplicate chart". If you wanna just have various chartbooks, all you do is make a copy of your .cht file in the data folder, change it's name and then open it and change symbol and save it. That way it's the exact chartbook copied in 2 files but with a new symbol on the second one and a new name so you can differentiate them.
