Finally, someone doing a review on Volvo. God bless you. My S60 is a head-turner. Everyone wanna buy it off me when I got it. But as a Car Enthusiast, you should know that none of those vehicles in that compound has a "V6" engine... They are all Inline Engines. i4 i5 i6. If you wanna have fun while you drive, get Volvo, especially the R Series. S60R or the V70R if you can find them(extremely rare), these are vehicles you will never want to get rid of. In an AutoCrash, you have better chances of survival than in a Toyota. All these for half the price for the Toyota equivalent go and Verify. 😊 Volvo all the way!!!!

You’re truly a true Volvo fan! We have them three. 2 XC90 i6 one 2012 R design. Then the first one XC70. People don’t know why we like them and they’re too lost in their Toyota to find out. Reliability. Balance. Build Quality. Luxury interiors and features. Extremely cheap in Nigeria (Because people don’t know the value). Easily available and affordable original parts all over Lagos, Aba, Obosi. SAFETY. SAFETY and Safety. I can’t drive any other car but a Volvo.

I love Volvos, very durable and rugged. And they have good ground clearance infact my father use's one 08 XC90. I drove it a couple of times moves very well but heavy on steering been a heavier vehicle. The only two draw backs so far we have common across is the parts are VERY EXPENSIVE and the AC isn't as good as your typical Toyota aside that, it's a fantastic brand.

​@@georgebright7541 the parts are actually affordable when you compare it to a Toyota, if you get any part of Toyota that is cheaper than the Volvo Counterpart, then you are looking at a 😂fake Toyota part, Toyota Parts are not cheap as we have been made to know, we have that mentality because our Auto market has been flooded with fake Toyota parts. Try and get real OEM parts and you will run away. But the Volvo doesn't have fake parts because they are not plenty, no marketer will want to keep fake parts for a vehicle that is without patronage like the Toyota where every Dick and Harry has one.

He never said they are made in Germany. He said like.... Besides, they are now owned by BYD, the largest carmaker in China! . Some there models are now made there. Volvo is a super solid car, and Nigerians will be wowed by it since we are all about Toyota in Nigeria. The road presence is something else, very, very stable at high speed, with very comfortable seating.. Just get a mechanic that is comfortable with Turbo chargers. Very good buys..

That is why most of the Geely SUVs and higher end Geely sedans are actually carry over platform from Volvo. I am currently driving a Volvo so I know much as the parts are cheaper compared to your Toyotas. The Achilles heel is the lack of trusted mechanics in the part of the country where I am. But it is very simple vehicle to work on as all there bolts are similar and fool proof. You can only compare Volvo to Lexus in terms of fuel economy cos it is on the premium segment of the industry.

@Crypto2Farm Wow.... except maybe the golf you have has an adaptive suspension. ( I stand to be corrected, though,) Volvo v70 AWD( station wagon of s60) was 'tearing' down Lokoja- Abaji road at about 200kph( between Kogi State and FCT, Nigeria) and hardly breaking a sweat. Little wind noise, rock steady at that speed. (And the same car just "walked through " a muddy patch on East- West road in Bayelsa. The kind of road you will enter ONLY bcos it was nite and you couldn't see clearly otherwise, your senses wouldn't have let you. ) A back seat rider who was not too much into Volvo b4 had to compliment the car's performance and the comfortable leather seats . And by God's grace, I'd driven some cars, hard !.. including golf cars. Though I admit not the GTI series. I know those are bad boys But Volvos are plain AWESOME .and grossly underrated in Naija.
