I saw one of your videos (how to become a videographer) and I decided to check out your channel before I subscribe. And Boy, you have credible content; all round. You're so laid back with no too much drama and 'jingles'. I'm sure I'll be checking out your content on a regular. Thank you for your efforts Bro.

Hey man, thanks for the advice. Helped me out quite a bit. I'm a professional audio engineer and I have some advice that might be helpful to you if you want to hear it. The reason why your audio isn't as loud as other KZbin videos is because your deep and soothing voice contains a lot of sub frequency energy and it's preventing the overall volume of your voice from getting any louder. As humans, we don't hear subs very easily. It takes a lot of volume down there for us to hear them. Meters however, they hear everything equally so it might look like you've got your voice as loud as it will go before it hits the red, but really most of that volume is sub energy that the average speakers can't even play back. KZbin might also be turning your volume down for the same reason. Either way, there's too much bass and it's gotta go. You don't want to change the way your voice sounds though, you just want to get rid of the stuff that isn't necessary. Once it's gone there will be more available headroom to make your voice louder. The fix is simple. you need to apply two High Pass Filters (HPF) to your audio. They're sometimes called low-cut filters. Same thing. Most video editing software will have them. Set the first one to a frequency of 60 Hz and give it a steep roll-off. So if your software lets you see the roll-off curve it should look like a cliff dropping straight down or almost straight down. If it doesn't let you see it then there should be a "dB/Octave" or "Q" setting. Set that as high as it will go (i.e. 24dB/octave). There is no useful information in the human voice below 60Hz so all that filter is doing is getting rid of everything you don't need. You might not even hear a difference but just know it's doing a lot. The second HPF is going to be within the frequency range of your voice so you need to be way less aggressive with the roll-off. Set frequency to 106 Hz and give it a very very gradual roll-off (less steep line or low dB/octave setting). That filter is going to balance out the low frequencies in your voice without changing it's character. It's also correcting any bad behavior of the first filter so it's necessary. You can experiment by moving the frequency up or down until you find the sweet spot but I wouldn't go any higher than 180Hz or you'll start losing the richness in your voice that everyone loves. Don't adjust the first filter at all though. Leave it at a hard 60Hz. Enjoy having louder audio. After achieving good results from this you might be tempted to make other EQ adjustments. I would avoid doing that no matter how tempting it might be. That's enough outta me. Keep up the great channel. Cheers!

Glad the info is helping, Jasmine, you're welcome! Once you've built up a substancial portfolio from all your free work, maybe between 10 - 20 pieces of work, AND you start to feel undervalued or demotivated from doing free work, you're ready 🔥💯

For me, I'm a high schooler ( a senior- graduating in 9 days). Currently, I only have 2 years of graphic designing experience. I'm still learning and therefore, my designs aren't SUPER professional as Im learning everyday. I make flyers, logos for businesses, charging $40 for designs. My question is, is this too low? My skill level is still at a beginner level and I'm not charging $100 because I personally don't believe my work is worth that much. As Im graduating soon, I really want to kickstart my freelancing career while doing some internships and working to pay for adobe illustrator and photoshop. Is $40 for designs good for starting out? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

what do you think about taking percentages of a product? For example, let's say I charge 300 for the total project with 3 designs included. But then if they're selling clothes, I ask that they give me 20% of sales? Is this a good idea?
@LearnSharePhotoVideo7 ай бұрын
I would say no. Charge a proper price for the design, that you feel is good enough for your work. Also, when charging for your designs, you can also charge based on the reach of your design. For example, you wouldn't charge the same for a logo design, for your local supermarket, versus a logo for Nike. Let me know if this helps.

Make a video on *"How the BOSS or client tries to under value a designer"* *In india Many are pricing very less $2-$3 and this making them poor life long they neither buy Software subscription or fix any hardware problem of their system which kill their working capability.* example:- if a designer doing good work with less price, the BOSS/client tries to play with his emotion to get cheap price work. Case 1 --- Clien behaves/message like this : "Hey can you design this logo, its budget is $120 ...? (later he says) sorry i will give this work to another designer, sorry for instake. Case 2 --- Clien behaves/message like this : he always return to the designer because good work and low price, still the client says, "hey other are doing with very low price, your work is bit high price"
