Ricardo Moloi AKA priddy ugly, was born in Luanda, Angola in 1990. His father is a South African liberation hero was on exile during his birth. Ricardo moved to South Africa at the age of 5 and lived with his grand mother in Soweto for the first few years. By his teens his parents had purchased a house in Kempton Park on the east rand where he grew up to build the brand Priddy Ugly. Ricardo was athletic in his youth days playing soccer for Moroka Swallows and S.A athletics. Due to a knee injury he slowed down on the sports to focus on entertainment. His entry to entertainment started with his joining of the notorious east rand based dance crew Freeze Frame. Dancing got him associated with music and he started a solo hip hop career. His form of hip hop is very ecclectic influenced by the fact that he grew up in a very diverse background. He is very multi-lingual and culturally diverse. On a song "come to my kasi" featuring Youngsta CPT he displays this skill by rapping in English, sotho, Zulu and (coloured) Afrikaans. In 2017 he signed to well known record label Ambitious Records run by North West Premier Supra Muhumapelo's brother Kgosi. There was concern by his fans when he signed to ambitious as some other artists were not happy with their contracts there. Being in the game for a Long time gave Ricardo the strategic business insights needed to navigate that landscape effectively. In October 2017 he released his long awaited album EGYPT. The album is an authentic and ecclectic hip hop project. Ricardo's maturity and multi-faceted experience over a long time shows in the album.v The album EGYPT is available at all good music stores and streaming sites. Ricardo is beyond ambitious and his talents will take him across the globe.
