54:25 Just to add to the discussion, I think Armin jumped also partially because his insecurities of worthlessness came flooding back to him. You know this as in his last interaction with Mikasa in the previous episode where he shouted at her, he concluded that he was the wrong guy to bring back to life. So I believe it wasn't 100% courage that pushed him into the titan's mouth, but even in his doubtful moments, he never lost sight of contributing to the right cause.

Isayama confirmed that the wall titans actually have humans inside them and that when it all ended they were turned back into humans and killed by the other humans that were left as revenge. He said that he was too lazy to draw them though

I think that he's popular because he was willing to go over and beyond for the rumbling. He never gave up until the end. Even though he opposed his former comrades hes still overall great character. Even if he did bad things Even bad characters can get popular. He brought so much conflict in the story, he was a great character and one of my favorite characters.
