Due to an injury of the Martin Miller Session Band's keyboard player Marius Leicht we had to postpone our filming session by a few weeks. With that spare time on my hands I decided to do a full on studio produce cover by myself and explore my guitar playing, voice and production chops a little. Drum phenomenon Felix Lehrmann was kind enough to support me with his amazing musicianship.

This is absolutely brilliant ! Incredible maestro performance from 1 of the best in the industry in MM backed up by an ultra tight drumming backbone in Felix. What I liked best here is combination of styles blended in with various guitar solos magnificently edited for perfect production and the vocal..wow..Superb. The different levels and the strength in the chorus. Wonderful stuff. Just a damn pity this can’t be taken on the road for the world to see and hear live. Well done. Have to release this on your next compilation. 1 of the best this year.

I have always been a fan of covering another artists music. It is what rock and blues music was founded on. Elvis, the Beatles, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin and many legendary bands to the Plain White T's version of "Hey There Delilah" all launched their careers on covers. I have always enjoyed hearing another artists interpretation of a song...sometimes even more than the original. When I was in a band the venues often demanded we only play "popular" songs not originals. I used to resent being called a cover band but it put food on the table at the time. Martin you have never let me down on your creative musical interpretations. Your overall skills in performance on guitar and vocals are nothing less than stellar, arrangement and studio recording all top notch. I am in awe. Can't wait to get your newest upcoming original music! Bravo on this U2 hit; you nailed it. EVERYONE SUPPORT MM ON PATREON. I really enjoyed watching you perform all the music and vocal parts on this song; adding Felix to the mix is just fantastic! . Seeing a young man share his varied talents to the world warms my heart. My dad was a multi-talented musician/singer back in the '50-70's when Country was Country-Western. He enjoyed performing Sons of the Pioneers' songs among others, played for a short time with Hank Williams, Sr., sang in barbershop quartets singing any of 4 voices. His guitar playing emulated Chet Atkins and Les Paul, (definitely a finger picker) and loved it. He also played organ and piano, accordion, saxophone and clarinet. He could instantly change to any key on any instrument. When I asked him how he did it, he replied "I know where all the chords are". He had none of your musical education, but perfect pitch and a fantastic memory served him well. Thanks again for sharing your music! BTW, our ancestors are from Germany! I have none of the musical talent, except for knowing when music is done right. Your's is!

Ricci Hansen, thank you! With 1 and 2 year old at home, he declined a permanent job on the road with Hank Williams Sr. He performed at over 200 rodeo events and parades, sang at 225 weddings plus numerous other venues before retiring.

Martin you took this song to another level I can hear this in a major movie soundtrack and I'm talkin about one of those Blockbusters that sells millions and millions and millions would be the only type of movie worthy of this song done this way... not some cheesy movie that nobody's going to see LOL. Your mix is amazing - a ton of layers without getting too crowded. Love the original / aggressive arrangement. Strong vocals, Martin! Felix is a huge part of this win, but you really did a fantastic job putting all these pieces together. Love this format / style / original version.
