Good review ji 👍👍. I have tried 'Rajabhojanam' in RS Puram branch (AC Restaurant at top floor). Personally, I feel the quality of the steamed rice is not good (overcooked and broken rice) in most of the Annapoorna branches. I am a native of Coimbatore and I have been visiting Annapoorna restaurants for the past 25 yrs. In the early days of Annapoorna, the quality of food and service was good. But in the recent years, it had turned worse. Service is extremely poor. Particularly, when you order a tiffin like dosa, they will serve it in a partly cleaned plate without even placing a banana leaf underneath the food. There are dirty water patches on the plate and it clearly shows how unhygienic and untidy they are in maintaining the vessels there. It is really disgusting for anyone to take the food on an unclean plate without a banana leaf covering the plate. The plate they provide is even worse. It rolls like a steering wheel ultimately spoiling the mood to eat. I have observed this in almost all the branches. Even, a road side low-end hotel and kaiyendhi bhavan provides good service compared to Annapoorna. I have lost faith in Annapoorna long ago. But people still go there as they don't have any other options. Annapoorna's monopoly in veg cuisine makes them going. Comparatively, IMO Anandhaas is a far better option than Annapoorna.
