Pride parade takes over Ybor City with love despite proposed legislation

People across the Tampa Bay area celebrated love and acceptance during the annual Tampa Pride Diversity Parade Saturday afternoon in Ybor City.
Thousands of people came out to celebrate love. One couple even got married after 19 years of dating.
Steven Weinlein and Tim Schmidt tied the knot right before the parade started.

I felt that way at fist too....but then realized how many wives I been through and GF relationships!! Probably at least 12 in my 50 years. I still wouldn't kiss another man unless it was Family but never on the lips! I convinced myself that these gay men found and felt something I never felt I had with any women in my life. Great for them, I'm just glad they are happy, in love, and peaceful pleasant people. What more could a couple ask for.

the only thing I saw there maybe a little bit questionable was a local strip club had some guys in nothing but jockstraps and suspenders, but they otherwise weren't dancing lewdly or anything like that. Every pride parade is different and parents should do some research well ahead of time to get the vibe and feel of whether one city's pride parade is PG-13 or if it is R rated. And it's not uncommon that some cities the pride parade is more PG-13, but then the late night afterparty is where all of the R and X rated stuff happens. Not to mention that there are plenty of events throughout the country for more raunchy stuff, e.g., Folsum... And events like that are age-gated for who can attend and participate. I was in the parade along with 150 other coworkers from my company and we had a good, PG time.
