What you are doing works for me when nothing else has. I think the biggest part is your voice, rhythm, and that I read the book 60 years ago. So I'm not 'waiting' on what happens next and just enjoy the reading.

Same book until finished please. Would love to hear all The Borrowers series by Mary Norton. The legend of Sleepy Hallow. Clean mysteries from the past. (That’s not a title it’s a genre). When I was young there were always books for Tweens that started with “The mystery of..”. These were not Nancy Drew of Hardy Boys but simple mysteries of like the golden box or something where it was a mystery of something disappearing or an abandoned cabin or something. Not scary, no murder. Fun clean stories. I am sure I am not the only adult that would like to hear those again 😊
