I was so fortunate to run across this channel. I have had neurological problems and double vision for 4 years now; a problem which my previous neurologist made seem of no account at all, and my family act as if was all due to lack of sleep. The sad truth though is that it was confirmed this past Friday by my new neurologist that I have paralysis of my eye muscles, and I do not think they can reverse it. It looks as if it is MS, although the Doctor won't know for certain for a few more days. The idea of the day coming where I can no longer read is terrifying; but thanks to channels like yours, I can not only enjoy these books that I can no longer withstand the eye strain to read, but it's like hearing myself read aloud with an English accent! You have no idea how thankful I am, and how much it means to people like me. First, because you do justice to this novel and read it the way it should be read, and Second, because it allows me to close my eyes and get lost in the story for a few hours, and take my mind off of everything else. Honestly, I find myself wishing you lived near here and I can imagine you dropping in to gossip like Elizabeth or Jane. With much gratitude:)

We’re delighted you enjoyed this rendition! Yes, the author, Jane Austen, was believed to have lived in similar fashion to the works. This different lifestyle would offer different perspectives of experience and the challenges present in that. All the while the storytelling is still able to create that relatable element in interpersonal relationships which so many of us share. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and for being with us!

Thank you for creating this. It is perfectly done and helping me so much to read it for my course. I struggle to focus on audiobooks alone and the reading seems so overwhelmingly long. This is great. :)

I read Pride and Prejudice while listening to this. This narration made the entire plot much more digestible especially for me, a younger audience, so thank you!(there is about 1/2 errors I caught but they were extremely minute)

Thank you for uploading both the audiobook and the perfectly paced unabridged text. Pride and Prejudice was the first novel I read in English and remains my cherished delight for difficult times.

Just so you are aware this is a very old form of English and is not going to be extremely useful to you learning modern english. Many of the words in this book are not used in this way anymore.

I cannot say enough how much I appreciate this video. I read the paper books couple times and watch the series (1995 version) several times. But this audio book is just great that can learn about pronunciation while enjoying the story. Thank you so much for your great efforts. I already liked and subscribed and look forward to reading more audio books from you.

I have read this book - and listened to it - a million times. Just struck by two things: 1) at the end of the book, Mr. Bennett seriously says Wickham is his favorite son-in-law (will he never stop making stupid decisions? He marries a lovely but vacant woman and has to live with that the rest of his life) and 2) Mrs. Bennett's ridiculous nature really grates on me now. Never a stupider woman born - and her youngest daughter follows right along...
