I like our Pride here in North Carolina, it is in October around National Coming Out Day. Weather is cooler and it's a lot easier to wear leather than at the end of June. Not much into the music or dancing anymore, but I do love going through the marketplace and talking with people and supporting the local gay owned businesses and organizations.

I have some things I do to help being over 40. My iphone will take a picture, so if something is too small, take a picture of that and then you can blow it up with your fingers. Works wonders. I recommend an acupuncturist and a chiropractor. Both help put you back together and feel like a normal person. I use them both. Also, I love going to the spa, not the bathhouse, the spa. The one that has cold plunge, hot tubs, steam rooms. I reduced my swelling immensely by using the hot and cold methods. I would do 30-60 seconds in the cold plunge and then go sit and chat with friends in the hot tub. For sleeping, I sleep well, if I make the room as cold as I can, but I take a shower before I go to bed, even though I take one in the morning too. I sleep 1000 times better if I do that. When I go out, before I go to bed, I drink a Pedialyte. I also never change my drink, whatever I start with, that is what I finish with. But the Pedialyte is the best way to make sure I get going the next day without issues. I have never been too much of a drinker, but 2-3 drinks max and a pedialyte and I am much better than if I do not do my routine. As for vision, I notice if I use Viagra, the next day it is much worse, have no idea why. Other things that can be better for you, is to garden. The gym is important, but gardening is great exercise and it also gives a sense of peace, which then helps me sleep well. Being in nature and putting your hands in the dirt. I also tell Alexa to play "Spa Relaxing Music on Pandora for 30 minutes." She plays it and I pass out cold and wake up refreshed. As for canceled plans, I am always happy to have me time. I am an extrovert, but after Covid, I realized the value of my "me" time. Also, I realized for all my supplements, discovey and other needed medication, I don't just fill a week's work, I have four boxes, so I fill the whole month. I actually keep that routine so much better that way. Also think about adding tumeric and glucosamine for the tendons and stuff like that to move better. You are in much better shape then me, I am muscle bear ish, but when I take those, I am so much better off. :)

Really agree with you about the loud music. I think it has been toned down a little most places. It used to be so loud it was atonal. Used to like seeing impromptu street interviews where they asked people the lyrics to the latest screamer song. Either they didn't know or they got it all wrong! Stop the screeching and just give me a good dance beat. Awards shows suck. It's just show people giving awards to their friends! Am surprised at how many bad things get awards. Yea Ambien!!! I don’t think it is your age. It is the fact that you over did it and now doesn’t seem to be interesting anymore. Like how many parties you have to go to and they are all the same. No offense but those DJs were not great. Try Monsieur Adi, Fred Falke, Seamus Haji, Adam Turner, Digital Dog, Designer Drugs, Kue, Grum, Chew Fu...There are so many amazing DJs. Sadly you probably won't hear them at the clubs, house is dead; these lazy DJs just play plain @zz top 40 not even remixed these days. Anyway just wanted to mention some timeless DJs always great to listen to for a pick me up :)

Thanks for telling us about those DJ's... and I know what you're saying, the DJ's that were popular and playing the parties weren't the best, but they were there and part of my history and memories, so it's nostalgic

@@PatrickMarano I live in a town where there aren't parties, there are a few bars & they either have a juke box or a VJ, so nothing to hear here. But back when house was more popular I'd find all the good DJs on house blogs basically. One time I went to a party in a city & in the smaller dancefloor I look over & the Freemasons were playing & they weren't advertised. Normally they're pretty good quality mid (they did the big Whitney-Million Dollar Bill remix back in the day) but they had just released a disc called Booty which was all bootlegs, it was freaking LEGIT...I was the only person who figured out what was up so while everyone was in the jungle room I was spinning like there was no tomorrow having the most amazing time by myself. It was crazy. Anyway, blah blah blah, but yes to nostalgia!
