I hear you man. Plus all that running around /pray others for keeping up the buffs is tedious AF. 19+ year old game and even with all the Retail abilities/runes they added for Classic, they still did not adress SPs main issue, mana regen. Maybe they get VT for lvl 40 bracket? But atm it's a dize roll if it's even worth leveling one up on pure hopium that their main issue will be adressed. Giving them some slight dmg buff won't do Jack when you go oom fast anyway. All that did was making from E-tier from F-tier.

Does anyone know how to go to Thunder bluff, to learn staves for the priest (alliance). At the moment i am lvl 12, in darkshore, and i have no idea how to get there. (thanks)

As alliance you need to take a boat from darkshore to darnassus. There you can learn staffs.

I think with runes they are looking at what would be actual viable at lvl 60 and 3 wand attacks for like 30-40 mana wouldnt be viable at all, but you are 100% Right that they need to adress spriest Mana regen

​@ugriDnuub any tips on healing on dungeons particularly on RFC at level 13 on priest. I use PoM on Tanks and penance any player that are less than half hp and renew the rest(top up) I guess I make mistake by using renew and it drains my mana so fast. Does lesser heal come into play when healing on dungeons like SFK and WC later? For RFC basically just PoM and penance? Thanks

@@soojason2012 Np mate :) Penance is your most efficient spell by far (HP per mana spent) so that is your bread and butter for this entire phase. Wait to cast it until target can take the entire thing so you avoid big overheals, but don't leave it too late. PoM doesn't do much healing, but is very efficient if you can get it to jump a few times, so if multiple targets have aggro put that on someone with aggro. If a mage is taking heavy damage you might want to use your shield instead to be sure. For periods of heavier damage supplement with max rank lesser heal/heal. You can start casting in anticipation of damage and then move a little to cancel if the damage doesn't happen. Renew is a big nono ;) It is a terribly inefficient spell that does almost nothing. It is better to overheal a little with Penance or just pop a single PoM. Your dps will regen some health between packs too and these dungeons are not so dangerous that you need to up top people. Try healing using only Penance (as often as possible for ease) and spam/cast-cancel lesser heal/heal when you feel there is heavy incoming damage. PoM for messy party damage and add shield (on clothies primarily) for big emergencies. Might even save it for yourself in a pinch. And, if you get heal aggro always run to your tank, don't run away. Next step is timing your heals in bursts with max gaps so you get more spirit regen (starts 5 sec after your last spell went off). Doing this right and with a little int you can heal almost without drinking at all (with normal pulls). (This is the basic principle of how to heal as priest in all content. When we get good gear later we sacrifice some efficiency for throughput with Flash heal because with lots of +heal our most precious resource changes from mana to # casts/global cooldowns. Holy/disc priests are a burst class at heart in classic and the difficulty is in knowing when to do nothing)

@@soojason2012 when PoM jumps off the Tank on to another Party or raidmember you could „force“ it off to maybe the Tank again by just putting the cheapest healing spell on the current PoM Target since in sod it also jumps over from healing done to the target

Your pvp spec isn''t ideal imo. 5/5 black out is fine. but then the rest should go into disc, so you can get inner focus. Martyrdom is great too b/c it works on all spells. This is especially important if you go undead to pair it w/ devouring plague.

You’d go into the disc tree for imp fort, imp power word shields AND meditation for 15% mana regen rather than going into holy tree.

Im still newer to classic so maybe someone could explain this to me but wouldnt it be better to go down the disc tree for meditation and inner focus and put the last 2 points into healing focus i feel like priests would run out of mana pretty quickly in raids

At these levels efficiency is the name of the game for healing. Renew and healing focus are complete noob traps, while Inner focus is a must have for me. Properly weaved into healing it significantly increases mana regen and both it and imp shield are wipe preventers.

You need 11 points to get Inner Focus and only have 5 left at level 25. Imo 5% crit is more useful since it's basically free mana and you can avoid aggro by playing right as a grp (in a pinch you can also use shield to avoid spell interrupts). Besides for Meditation, having 10% of your normal mana regen while casting at level 25 is very little. Your goal should be to cast as little as possible anyways so you can spirit regen + wand (not insignificant at 25).

Just started leveling priest on shadowstrike server. Being a pvp server, i should choose UD over troll but i pick trolls instead😂😂 Long story short,what are the talents should i opt for while levelling my level 14 priest(being a pvp server) I pick 5/5 wand specialisation. Do I opt for full disc talent tree or take 2/2 healing focus and put the rest on disc talent tree? Do i go for homoculli/PoM questing on contested area? Sorry for the long question. Thanks

In 25 bracket, doubtful. I suspect rogues and hunters will still rule the roost as they do in the 19 and 20s twink brackets. Shadow won't shine til 40 for obvious reasons, especially considering no runes address prevailing mana issues.

Also pvp-wise, taking shared pain is really not ideal. that's a pve rune through and through. Homunculi is the go to or even prayer of mending if you decide to mostly heal.
