Samut is my main. Some of my best draws include both Selvala's, Zacama, Sword Of Feast and Famine, Seedborne Muse, Kogla, Shalai. Love this deck. Mine isnt a primal surge deck but I see the idea.

Oh yeah there's so many great cards I want to cycle in and out of this shell. Terrastadon's on my list to try out because I've got a sketched artist proof of it!

I totally agree! She’s great. I always take an open-ended commander as a challenge to push the envelope! I’m still figuring out how I want gameplay content to look here! In the meantime, my stream will be home to such content! I’m revamping that schedule right now!

Primal Surge needs to finish resolving before any other triggers actually go on the stack. Once it's finished resolving, all of the creatures are considered to have entered at the same time and you can stack the triggers however you want. Almost everyone gets this wrong lol. So anyway, you don't actually need to worry about the order the creatures enter the battlefield.

I run a elf tribal samut deck. Elves are surprisingly deadly when they have haste 😀

I'm looking to build Samut as I grew tired pretty tired of Jodah the unifier. Going primal surge all permanents is a nice anti-thesis to my codie spellsinger deck

constructive criticism: it started out really nice, i like the structured way of thinking. but in the end i have to say it's just a random goodstuff deck with some more rampers. i think most of the cards you will have as recommendation on edhrec when chosing samut and primal surge theme. of course, it is a strong deck. but in terms of creativity, nothing exciting. i'd love to see new and outstanding combinations of themes, tribes and commanders, so keep it up :)

Love the deck tech, question though, doesn't Guardian Project kill you if you resolve Primal Surge and get your whole deck into play?

Great question! There's a few cards that could potentially do that. Short answer: We're running Platinum angel to make sure we don't lose and cards like Grand Abolisher and Dragonlord Dromoka to make sure it doesn't get removed or our opponents can't stop us! We've also got extra failsafes like flip Avacyn to make things indestructible and Shalai making everything hexproof! We can also win with a few different combos with those draw triggers on the stack if all else fails: 1) Using our engines to infinitely bouncing Duplicant and recasting duplicant at instant speed to remove everyone's board and then activating Shaman of Forgotten Ways to Biorhythm the table. 2) Infinitely bouncing and recasting a creature at instant speed to generate infinite terror of the peaks triggers to burn out the table (which is also kind of the primary easy peasy wincon off the Primal Surge to begin with!)

Hi! I created this deck back in 2017 and here are some things I've learned over the several years of her being my main commander: Mirari's Wake is crap. It doesn't do anywhere near enough acceleration for the deck, and Mana Reflection is unironically better. It costs more, but puts your mana production into overdrive. Makes you archenemy immediately, but screw 'em. Same issue with Regal Behemoth, but Monarch cards are in general very VERY bad for this deck because it pushes the archenemy narrative way too fast. You need to seem innocent (if they don't know what the deck does), or way more behind than you really are (if they do). I am too poor for Henge, but I think it'd be very very strong in here. Panglacial Wurm is incredibly screwed up in this deck. It's very easy to get him into play, and I'm trying to slot it back in. The more combos you shove into the deck, the better the deck gets. Especially with the Mirror Breaker himself but to anyone reading this: Do not use Zealous Conscripts. Generally useless outside of the combo except for some really WEIRD fringe cases. Rec sage has, unfortunately, also been power crept to hell in the past year but I can't put that fault on the video. If you're having trouble with mass removal, may I introduce you all to Novablast Wurm? Staff of Domination is also an auto-include in this deck because it does some pretty crazy things. best cards for Samut Primal Surge, in my opinion, are: Genesis Hydra, Temur Sabertooth, both Selvalas, Karametra's Acolyte, and Mana Reflection. All those are auto-include and anything else is preference. Especially threats. Thank you for bringing attention to my favorite deck of over 5 years!
