this was recorded after the flush of Screamadelica, heading into their 1st Memphis session, Fcking crazy. I regard this track as Andy/Hugo's best. simply the coolest song of all time. Is there a better ep than the Dixienarco ep? It's fcking everything, a kaleidoscopic-screamadlic four-song wonder, and a final testament to those days. And the cover design (by BG/ William Eggleston) is beyond perfect. Has there ever been a more beautiful package than that's the dixienarco ep? Certainly, not for me.

heard this for the first time last week and I thought "hey, that sounds exactly like Screamadelica". Wonder if they sampled it... Theme from Starsky & Hutch - Funky People Mix - by the James Taylor Quartet Hear that little blip under two seconds in? Gotta be a sample.

so good to hear extra bits of Denise. Glad the petshopboys synth got cut. Shame most of Bobby's vocoder was also chopped though.
