Fantastic video. A lot of detail beginners really need. Thanks so much. A couple of issues I'm having, maybe I need to.change some settings or something? 1. When I use the cut tool (razor blade) I have to make two cuts, one on video and one on audio. I also have to highlight both to move them. Help! 2. When I "delete" cut sections instead of using the "cut" command from the menu, it does weird things like reverts back to a prior starting point. Hard to explain because I don't really understand what I'm doing. Anyway, if this sounds familiar and you or any other viewer has a suggestion on what I'm doing wrong, it would be appreciated.

22:29 Protip, don't let it get to 0 even when recording. If you use analog board and record into digital, you must observe it won't get above 0 as it is possible in analog signals. You could place a limiter there to prevent it going above.

By far the best beginning tutorial I have seen for Davinci Resolve. There is SO much in this program that its hard to wrap your head around when you're first starting. This video hits the high points perfectly in a very understandable way. I was able to actually produce my first video. I agree with you. Many of these guys really don't care much for beginners. They all seem to target viewers with 50% of the knowledge. This is evident by the undefined words and terms they fly over. I can hardly begin to tell you how spectacular i think your video is. It really is COMPLETE, and it really is for beginners (which I am). At first I was put off by its length, but figured that 34 minutes now will save hours of fumbling later. i am glad that I did. How do I add video to the edit that I'm working on without it canceling out the video that's already there? For example, if I find a cut that I want to add, but there is no black space for me to drag it down to, then the video will overlap what's already there. How can I add it workout it overlapping? I want it to go right between the two clips that are already there, not overlap or replace it. Please help.
