モンタさんは他の誰かと同居できそうなのに、毎年そのチャンスを逃して来ているのでは…。人間が良かれと思っていることとゴリラの思いは違うかもしれないけれど、モンタさんを見ているとこれでいいのかなと思ったりします。

浜松のショウが食べているのは、ソルゴーというのは知っていますが、千葉のモンタが食べているのは、わかりません。ソルゴーとはイネ科のモロコシの一種で甘いそうです。植物はあまり詳しくないもので・・・。日本にもあるみたいですよ。

この動物園は、他の動物園と比べて非常に霊長類（猿類）の種類が多いんです。多くの霊長類が暮らしているので霊長類の園というわけです。 ただし、猿類専門の日本モンキーセンターと比べたら少ないです。日本モンキーセンターは猿類専門の動物園ですから・・・
