Cool to see my favorite fire alarm guy is also into aviation! Also 763ER is what it would be called as a passenger (extended range) but if it’s cargo, F will be used for freighter. As for the APU still on they must be doing something with the CVR and FDR as well as interior inspections. I’m really not too sure on if they are going to scape or repair her. 30 years old, may be time for retirement.

Yes, that's of course the case for a brand new aircraft which makes sense. I've looked at multiple sources at this specific registration and this particular aircraft is listed as ER. So it seems to me as though these converted 767's maintain their ER listing once through a conversion to freight.

I didn’t see that the day before

Hey Nic, Fellow aviator and fire alarm enthusiast from Florida here. I do believe its a 767-300ER due to the fact the windows where covered for the conversion of 767 to the freighter model, and the fact that the aircraft is over 30 years old tells me that it was 100% converted due to the age of it
@nics-systems-electricАй бұрын
That's what I was thinking that the windows are a giveaway of the conversion. I've seen multiple sources If you look up the registration listed as ER over F. I think some of those who are calling it a 767-300F are just assuming but not necessarily looking at what the specific aircraft started its life as which seems to carryover through a conversion with these 767's.

“You can’t park there” that made me laugh! I’m also really glad they have such a big a RESA zone, because the city would have to come and rebuild Templeton St. Glad you were able to go check it out and report back!

10:25 It looks like the starboard inner slats are slightly more deployed than the port side. They really got lucky. I don't know the area but I wonder how much farther they would have gone if that mud had been dry dirt.
@nics-systems-electricАй бұрын
Good catch I'm noticing that now myself now that you mention that. Had that been hard packed dirt I think this would have been a lot worse for sure. Definitely through the ILS antenna and the perimeter fence after that is a road and then airport parking lot. I guess a combination of factors not working in their favour with a higher speed and slippery surface. I am a little surprised a combination of wheel breaks and reverse thrust didn't get it stopped or at least slow enough to not continue 1900 feet in the mud. Will be interesting to hopefully see the report on what happened.

He might. I feel like usually they are covering bigger events but this was a pretty substantial overrun so you never know. I was waiting for Blancolirio's video which he did release just a couple hours after my video.

For anyone who wants to know more about the actual "model" of this plane based on whatever the discussion about whether if it is an ER or F in the video, here's a bit of info I found. C-GAZI (this aircraft) is a 767-338ER BDSF. You can see that the windows were patched, which is because it was originally ordered by Qantas as VH-OGN, then went to WestJet as C-GOGN and then came to Prime Air/ Cargojet as C-GAZI. The tag "BDSF" is given as a "converted cargo aircraft (usually a 767 which is converted by Israel Aerospace Industries)" and BDSF stands for "BeDek Special Freighter. Under other circumstances, some other Boeing freighters have the tag BCF, which stands for Boeing Converted Freighter. The official model name (based on fr24) for this plane is "Boeing 767-338ER [BDSF]". ER is (i believe) retained from the days it was a passenger aircraft.
@nics-systems-electricАй бұрын
Yeah it's definitely an ER from its ex passenger configuration. I didn't know it was once with WestJet that's interesting.
@max_fo_shoАй бұрын
I wonder if there was any pilot error related to this incident?
@nics-systems-electricАй бұрын
Will be interesting to see a report if it becomes available. The high-speed landing and slippery runway wasn't working in their favour however I still would've thought a combination of reverse thrust and wheel brakes would get them stopped or at least slowed in time to not continue 1900 feet in the mud. Would like to know just how much of that nearly 10,000 feet they potentially ate up before touching down.

You should also do railfanning, (filming trains)

I certainly did lots when I was younger. I find I'm too impatient for trains. They seem to be too unpredictable and far between lol

This isn't related to the video but where do you buy your fire alarm systems? Is it online from a dealer, do you contact the manufacturers (like Notifier), or do you buy it in a store?

The other came from jobs or mostly on eBay

It is called B767-300F the ER is replaced with F for freighter
@nics-systems-electricАй бұрын
It seemed to me that converted 767-300ERs sometimes weren't changed to F just going off flightradar24 displays their type.
@nathanlembke9026Ай бұрын
It’s a Boeing 767-300ER(F) F = freighter, ER = extended range.
