Even if you are open, low hands are intimidating, specially if you show your apponent that you are good counter striker. The apponent will then be more hessitant and you can lower your hands more. Tate has always been a geek by nature. But with a lot of effort he has come out of it. His fighting style sparks volumes about his geekish nature
@miramirza2 Жыл бұрын
I'd say he's more of the traditional nerd. He's got the smarts, he's intelligent in the practical, tactical sense, he's cold and calculated. Geeks are more well known to dedicate most of their time towards social interests like video games, card games, board games, comics, movie series, etc. Andrew has a distinct hatred for most of them as he views them as a waste of time and money, though this dislike is purely for enforcing his ideas, opinions and lessons.

@@Generationalwealth94 oh yeah sorry I misquoted. He doesn't hate videogames, though he hates the fact that like 99% (exaggeration) of 'competitive gamers' don't largely contribute to both the growth in society and to themselves physically, mentally and emotionally in many good ways or even any. It's (almost) a pure waste of time but Andrew likes to exaggerate his points cuz they need to get across ppls minds somehow so he probably doesn't mean it 100%

@@a_passing_cloud high oz gloves means very heavy hands due to the actual weight of it, that means the actual punching is slower in kickboxing i think they use it because the gloves need to absorb the hit form the kicks that transport much energy, fighting with high oz like 20-30 means that u need to train with even more high oz gloves, is overall more difficult with them, sorry for the bad explanation feel free to ask i practice the sport but I am not English I can't really explain my self very well

In kickboxing, you keep your hands in between the head and the body (at least I do) because unlike boxing, you have to defend against kicks and knees. Your guard needs to be a lot more loose and ready to block wherever the attack is going.
