Unfortunately I don’t drive for Prime, my son just left there last yr. He was a lease op. Prime trainer for 3yrs. He has some bad experiences with some trainees. You are a rare one that some trainer will be lucky to have! I hope you get a good trainer because there are a lot of bad ones out there!

Love your positivity thinking! Problem with a bad trainer is that you don’t know what you don’t know. Un fortunately you will come out the other side still not knowing and you deserve more then that. I have some friends in trucking and they told me what I should accomplish over this tnt phase from paper work, running my clock and different driving situations and tactics. I know I might get a trainer who don’t want to spend a lot of time teach me how ti back, but Because I know that I should, I will catch him on his good days to let me do some backing😂

All the cars on the road scared of the big trucks and will be scared of you. You are probably scared of the big truck, but don’t realize you will be the one driving it. Also the trucks are smart and technology makes them easier to control. The truck even brakes down for you when you get close to cars and also build in with a technology that makes it not so easy to flip over around turns.

The simulator you will get two practice drive then the one drive for your exam. It’s not hard and almost everyone in my class pass😃💪🏾

When you go to orientation for the school, it says a week in orientation. I have dot card and long form and employment info. Do they do another dot and do they call your work? I thought they would do that before you came to school? I read they do another dot physical there.

They do not do another dot physical there unless your dot card is about to expire. Its orientation can take up to 3-days to a week, then you train to get your cdl the other week. So within 2-3 weeks you will get your Cdl license, then you will move on to training. They will have you redo the application form when you get there to see if it matches the info you put on the application to apply online. There are also things you have to do when you get there like: the simulator test, computer base training videos you have to watch and answer questions on the based on some of the videos you watch. While you are there they will be checking all the info you gave them, go over your documents you submitted and if everything is good, they will clear you and move you on from orientation. They will check your work history, criminal record, driving record and so on just to make sure you good. I don’t know if they call work place, but they can find where you use to work online through tons of job verification websites.

You have to find your own way home. Don’t stress too much about the work verification part. Just make sure all your other records are clean.

It’s stressful cause it’s a huge risk to travel and then get told no you can continue you know. Driving, criminal is squeaky clean.
