Prime Aldo was the leg kick spamming one. He might’ve gotten better at boxing but he didn’t need that. He could’ve spammed legkicks and takedown defense was already god tier. But I do agree he now uses a more controlled pace. And a controlled arsenal

Prime leg kicking Aldo was fs WEC he legit use to spam leg kicks and i think he stopped spamming and focused on boxing becuse his leg kicks were very powerful it expended a lot of Energy

You are right about the skill point with Aldo; he was not necessarily more or less skillful as he aged - early Aldo was a far more technical kickboxer (relative to later Aldo), later Aldo was a far more technical boxer (relative to early Aldo). However, as you say, Aldo was much faster, more powerful, and more durable early in his career, relative to later - so I would say Mendes Aldo was prime Aldo.

Best believe I've been really enjoying this version of Aldo! His stats arent boosted too strongly, but something about the new model just makes the striking flows a little nastier. Absolutely hate the shorts though, no idea why EA keeps plastering pointless fake sponsors over the shorts. The new Robbie Lawler shorts look great and its just Reebok shorts without a Reebok logo.

It might be an unpopular opinion but at 29 years old when he fought Conor, even though Conor got the insane legendary 13 second stoppage, I feel like this was Jose Aldos absolute prime. It was the next fight after his Chad Mendes fight and he waited 14 months to fight Conor. In that time I'm sure that he was sharpening his skills to the absolute maximum BUT it was the mind games and precision of Conor that swept the world out from under him. He played directly into Conor's hands and did exactly what they planned for, but still, I have always felt that the Aldo that walked into that cage that night was the absolute prime Aldo. Which in turn makes McGregor's instantaneous dismantling of him even more impressive.
