Glad someone stated it, as far I was initially concerned there were "no more Prime bows". A hyperbole I suppose. I have owned two, the single-limb Centergy and Dual Limb Logic. Just sold the logic, like the older centergy more. Primes can be a bit noisier than other bows, but they shoot well. It was my go-to bow in Africa as an easy pulling 80lb bow. I guess I will try the inline when I get the chance.

I've been thinking about your review for a bit today and I am not sure how to digest it. If I hold my phone out sideways at arms length and torque it a little I get a wide triangle from each side coming back to my nose, however if I rotate it 90 degrees so I am looking down the thin side (versus the screen in the example above) that triangle is smaller / thinner and less prone to torque. Not sure how this plays into the bow grip, dual versus inline, but I feel like it should hold better. That's the beauty of this game, what works for some doesn't work for others! Keep the content rolling mate. Enjoy your insight.

@@douglyons8841 yeah. I mean. It’s a bow with a limb stop. If you don’t like limb stops then you aren’t going to like this bow. I get it. I never shot a prime until just a few months ago. My local shop isn’t selling the 2023 line because it’s cost prohibitive with the new multi mods sold individually and he didn’t want to have to carry all the different sizes. He was basically liquidating his i lines for about half MSRP. IMO the online 5 is a great bow… too 5 minutes to get set up for me and I didn’t even have to do much tuning with my arrows to get them paper tuned for that bow

I have the Nexus 6 @65lbs and I do have it set up with a stabilizer, but it shoots really smooth for me. I had tried the Black 5 and liked it, but it had that vibe. Then I tried the Nexus 2 since it was the first one available in the shop and it was only marginally better than the Black 5. Later I tried the 4 since it was the next to show up and it was slightly better than the 2. Then I tried the 6 and it was a bit better than the 4. So I got the 6 and set up some 560gr arrows and it is really quiet and smooth for me. I also put a nice set of custom strings on it, so maybe that helps a little. But when I saw the Inline, I was so glad I had the Nexus. Just my 2 cents.

My 570 or 520 grain arrows with the Nexus or Centergy shoot great. It is a prime example of efficiency, no pun intended. I really liked the setup of my CT-5 but the draw cycle is much more harsh than the other 2 Prime bows I have. All 3 have cable stops which give a very solid back wall. Everything Brandon said in this video I can relate to. Enjoy your Nexus 6😄.

When Mathews 1st started out I had their original 1 cam bow followed by 2 others later. All had machined risers with custom wood grips which were Mathew McPherson's expertise. I sold all 3 & now I shoot Prime cuz they have a grip similar to those original bows. I worked @ a bow shop so I always could buy them new, set them up & then sell them to friends. The 3 Prime bows I have tuned so easy it wasn't even work. Possibly cuz that grip I prefer for my style of shooting works much better than the PSE I had b4 that which gave me too many outlier shots that I don't have with the Prime.

Fair points and observations for the Inline series, the whole gimmick about a linear technology may probably take away leverage on the pull and overall draw smoothness throughout the cycle , nevertheless still a fan of the S shape riser and the looks on this bow. Looking forward to test shoot one of these soon.

The parallel cam and center grip is what Prime is all about, super easy to tune, holds rock solid all resulting in a very accurate bow. Keep in mind all these bow manufacturers have to make changes every year to make you think it’s better than the previous models. I will keep my black 5 for another few years at least. R u banished to the cold shed having to wear a toque ? Probably at 60 degrees 😂

I couldn't get over the noise of my Black 1, plus it didn't tune great and seemed sensitive to grip torque. Much happier with my SR6. I'm curious about cable serving wear on the Inline series. It seems to make a very sharp turn at the end.

I shot the IL5 the other day and it made me really wish I waited a year for several reasons, the most obvious are it’s quieter and less complicated …..haven’t shot the 1 or the 3 and probably won’t since with Prime’s higher nock point, 33 is the bare minimum I’m comfortable with.

@josephdipietro83672 жыл бұрын
I'm not interested in the nexus line because the cables choke around the center ring. I know that cause wear. Mathews as well, they choke that tear drop plastic piece. @nicholaschernega97892 жыл бұрын
Getting rid of lateral cable tension shouldn't worsen your hold. Martin patented the cam design which totally eliminated lateral nock travel in either 1999 or 2000 called the Fury-x cam and continued with the Nitrous-X cam. For some insane reason manufacturers have abandoned the design altogether which is a shame because it made tuning and timing incredibly easy and done literally in seconds with little to no effort.

The only KILLing it in that video was your analogies. I've been waiting for 6 weeks for someone to do an impartial review on this. I have 3 Prime bows. All purchased the last 3 years. I'm not trying to be 1 of those people that is trying to hit a pie plate & say good enough. The 1 thing I can say about my dual cam bows is the quality of the holding on target & the grip that my Brain is in total sync with. How many videos do u see a guy shoot a deer that is standing still & they hit the shoulder on it when it's moving right to left? Or the liver when it's moving left to right? If your brain & the training u do r in sync with the bow these things should be a thing of the past with a Flagship bow. I think it has to do with the grip ➕ the swerve riser & Possibly the Dual cams in unison. 🤔 Most bows r different than the Prime's & very similar to each other. Perhaps the bow u buy is more about what your region is selling rather than the right thing for someone. 2 of my bows r setup to shoot the exact same arrow so all I have to do is pop the quiver on to the other if I choose. The 3rd bow is a 35" speed & momentum demon with a heavy micro arrow & with my 30" draw after shooting the other 2 which have a very similar draw cycle I'm going to just keep the 2. I do not like buying something that is 1st generation of a new design & I'm happy I waited to get a Nexus 4 & passed on the Black 3 or 5.

And to call any bow "loud" is lutocruse. I still have not seen a video showing litgitimate testing w/ a decibel meter, seriously?! Another topic I have not seen any discussions on is Cam lean on the new system. I mean this is the main reason for the development of the Parallel cams after all. I have been shooting a Black 5 w/ 70 ( a little sarcasm) strings for 2 years & have had zero issues w/ tuning or vibration. So,, I'm calling BS on those issues or just the lack of experience.
