I know Kyrie's not the GOAT, but man, I think his playstyle is the most impressive I've ever seen. It's far more entertaining to watch than another big center bullying his way into the post, or even the Warriors' amazing pick and rolls. It's just a one-man show of someone dominating everybody, despite not being the fastest, strongest or tallest, but by having godlike handles and equally impressive bball IQ. This is just pure skill.

He’s at the end of it really.. 30+ in the league is considered old. Mentally yeah he’s become a master but physically his body can’t handle back to back games like players do in their mid twenties

LeBron was having his most dominant post seasons after the age of 30 (2015-2020), Stephen Curry was the same way (2019-2023) and Kyrie Irving's been looking better than he did even during the 2016 year. 30's a lot like the new twenty these days! 👀 Now obviously this is the best case scenario that assumes that you are taking care of your body, otherwise the rest of the unlucky bunch (PG13; Kawhi Leonard) will continuously suffer injuries due to wear and tear. The difference is still clear. Modern sports medicine and technology is so advanced like these guys suffer horrific injuries and are still able to produce numbers as if they're in their prime. A good look in injury recovery these days are with players like Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson, who have both suffered career-ending injuries yet came out on the other end still able to produce as if they picked up right where the left off. Being 30+ isn't an issue anymore, It's about taking care of yourself. Back then, yeah, being 30+ meant you were just moving past your prime and you were gonna be washed real quick, because players lacked the ability to preserve their careers especially with the technological differences of their eras.

He was talking about the super clutch moments like these that he's so good at. Lebron of course has better production overall in his career, and of course he has some game winners and clutch moments. But Kyrie rises in the last minutes of close games whether he's driving or taking a jump shot. Kyrie doesn't even need to fish for a mismatch to school all other 449 players in the NBA; he just goes to work. KD is perhaps the only other player when he's driven, that can be so offensively unstoppable without the refs calling fouls in his favor.
