The only thing I can wonder why there is such little asphalt is because this is a rural road, with minimal amount of traffic, however whats the use, fixing this road, if when it rains the road will be destroyed.

A minimum of an inch and a half of asphalt, that is too small of an amount of asphalt, as soon as it is rains, that road will disappear, that sub contractor is sure robbing the people, or tax payers of Jamaica. There should be a minimum of 10 to 12 inches of asphalt after compaction or compression, for a roadway to last about 20 years, that is the international standards. This is great that the Prime minister and government are getting these roads fixed, but this sub contractor is sure ripping off the people of Jamaica. Where are the local civil engineers in Jamaica who knows better.
