Henry still had a little more to his game than Mbappe, playing in a much tougher era too with fouls being less strict from referees. Henry could score free kicks, left foot right foot, long range efforts, playmaking creativity and could carry his teams alone. Everyone keeps saying 'Henry, there's no debate!' but they never explain why. What's so outrageous about it? Mbappe's international career already outstrips Henry's easily and he's the more prolific scorer. Criticise Ligue 1, sure, but the Premier League wasn't all that hot in Henry's day and neither were Arsenal's performances in Europe for the most part. Did Henry win the CL eventually? Sure, when he was 31 and playing for an astonishing Barca team, in which he was outshone by both Messi and Eto'o.

Mbappe has had a better career up to about 23, but these next couple years Henry really ascended to a better player than mbappe is currently and had more to his game. If mbappe develops is game at Madrid he has a chance to be better.
