What are your thoughts on the new Escape? Better or worse than you thought? Overall, I think they did a nice job of offering features, good legroom and cargo space, but I don't know if they did enough to steer people away from the leading competitors. *Thanks for watching and have a great day!*

Dare I say that the new Escape is almost sexy when compared to the previous Gen? LOL In my eye, definitely a looker in the upper trims. Great content Nolan, keep it coming sir!
@PrimeAutotainment4 жыл бұрын
They definitely made it look a lot more modern! Someone even told me they think it looked like the front of a Porsche while I had it. Thank you very much 😁👍

This is really nice. The exterior design is attractive and the interior looks comfortable, well the seats. The headlights should be fully led. I like it, but not enough to add it to my list of "would buy". Excellent review Nolan 👍
The Escape is very attractive indeed! But once you get into the interior it's not so impressive. And compared to the Rav4 & CRV it's missing some features. But for what it is, it's not a bad vehicle at all. I really like the rear seat room & huge vista roof. And it really seems to have impressive power! Ford has gotten a lot of things right with this new Escape. Great review man!

I definitely know what you mean with the interior. It was somewhat of a let down. Thank you as always, I appreciate it! 😁👍

Excellent review. I think the new version looks like a "mini SUV" and lacks the practical design of the "squared off" design of the first version. I really miss the lack of a flip up rear window... something that I really appreciate on my Toyota 4Runner with a power tailgate window.
@PrimeAutotainment4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Brian! I agree..I prefer a squared off design too and those flip up rear windows need to stick around! I'm a big fan of your vehicle and that tailgate window is really awesome.

I have my 2020 SEL model and LOVE it!! I do not have the manual shift though, odd. But I live in the northwest of California and we have tons of curvy roads here, the sport mode is heaven to drive, this car loves curves.

It’s a nice clean design. Nice exterior color. Not sure it’s exciting enough to get asked about it in a drive thru for me but hey ya know some might love it 🤷🏻♂️. I do like the key fob it’s quite nice. Definitely looks nicer than previous Escapes!

As long as the topography is Texas-like (other than the Hill Country) the handling looks fine. For those of us who deal with curves that emerge somewhere before the horizon or mountains that aren't a thousand miles away, though, the behavior doesn't inspire much confidence. All in all, I'm inclined to think that the Titanium (top) trim is the model to consider. Otherwise, despite the redesign, the Escape is mid-pack in its category at best.
@PrimeAutotainment4 жыл бұрын
Good point with the curves. It’s definitely I backroad carver lol. Agreed about the titanium too..they put some extras into it, but this one doesn’t compel me over the others in the class

As far as the intrusive head rest, what I do is I pull them completely off and turn them around 90°. Then they are facing back a little bit

Nice little vehicle... love/hate relationship. Seems there are enough "must haves" and not much compromising. Overall, I like it! Now, I will admit, I'm not watching your Explorer video when it comes out! Why? I love the look of that thing.. and if it's a hit, I'd have to trade my RAV4 for one haha. Great work Nolan, and cool to see affiliate links! I'm always curious what people are using behind the scenes and don't mind following an affiliate link at all! Keep up the great videos! (PS - Nice new water bottle!)

Haha thanks Chris! I’ll tell you right. Is that I’m definitely enjoying the Explorer this week and everything it offers. Then again this is the Platinum trim and $60k 😳. My new (ish) camera...got it Black Friday time...I dropped it from about head height, yikes! Still works though lol. I appreciate your support a bunch and thanks for stopping by!

Prime Autotainment wow on your camera! I’m glad it didn’t break! And dang sounds like you’re getting the Explorer review ready... ok I’ll watch it but I’ll just tell myself ain’t no way I can afford $60k - Dave Ramsey would kill me. Lol.

Great review,Sir! As far as the adio system sound bites, it is kind of pointless because it relies on your mic and the speaker system us viewers have. But I do appreciate the effort. Will you be getting a Titanium trim Escape? Fords interiors are so boring with all of the black. I think the Rav4 is better looking but not as powerful. Keep up the good work!
@PrimeAutotainment4 жыл бұрын
Thank you Lance! That’s how I feel with the music. Some people have asked but there really isn’t much difference between vehicles when listening through this...doesn’t give each speaker system enough credit lol. I haven’t heard anything about getting a Titanium, but I could probably grab one from a dealer for a quicker review - would you like to see that? Thank you again!
@lance_r724 жыл бұрын
Thanks Nolan! I would like to see a Titanium to compare with this. The only way to sample the radios are in person. Your reviews are improving greatly! Keep it up Sir!

I really hate to admit this, but the update of this suv is kinda cute. Imo, it's kinda taking some styling cues from the Porche Mecan. By no means is it something that's gonna knock your socks off, but atleast it's not something that if you had to live with it everyday, you'd be asking yourself if it'd be better to rely on friends, family, or public transpo.

Looks good overall. I think the Titanium’s have a little Porsche Macan influence going on. The smaller wheels do downgrade the appearance a bit. It’s a shame there are no mirror turn signals and only hologen head lamps on all but the top trim. Seems they may have down contented the trims a bit. The cargo seems a bit on the small side, but the interior looks pretty good, just a bit too dark for my tastes. BUT, that horrible dot design on the door panel has got to go! I agree with you on the position of the push button start. It’s a horribly awkward placement. My long ago Focus had it just like that and it did get annoying sometimes. It’s a real shame Ford did away with the 4-way headrests. That is something that was including on most very Model they offered. Yet another reason I’m a Subaru fan! Lol. I think they may be the last manufacturer to include them on almost every model...and they do help since most headrests are fixed too far forward.
@PrimeAutotainment4 жыл бұрын
It really is a bummer about the lights and mirror signals. The titanium seems to have all the desirable goodies like you said. The headrests really disappointed me lol. I’m in an explorer now and it still had the 4 way headrests thank goodness. Just cheaped out on the escape I guess! Thanks for stopping by sir!

I have the 2015 and I regret buying this car. It's hard to get simple work done. Like an oil change. Or battery change. It's a lot of work and the transmission died after only driving it for 9 months. The dealership laughed because the warranty just ended. Nightmare. This is a bad car. It's cost to much to maintain and it's not worth the trouble.
