On E-Bay there is a billet aluminum completed round kick-out thats bad ass. They make it to use with or without the shellplate bolt bearing and shim kit. Its made by EK2Precision. They go like hotcakes!

That spent primer catcher is nice, but seems like a lot of expense and effort for a small gain. Much easier to drill a hole in the bottom of the original catcher, glue on a PVC hose barb, and run a small flex tube to either the same tray, or down to a soda bottle on the floor.

Having used the "ejector wire" upgrade. It is well worth the money, and IMHO, yes it is a needed upgrade!

Yes, the ejector wire upgrade works fine, but is it really needed?

What is that clunking when he's a little into the handle coming up stroke? Stroke stops cold sometimes. Is that the press or something set wrong? Looking at buying a Dillon 650 so am concerned. TIA

Its completely normal. Pistol cases dont normally get lubed. It gets a little stuck in the expanding/powder die. Good catch and thanks for asking.

Hey, thanks for another how to mod review! Looks like I'll continue upgrading my press. (Does it ever stop? lol) A few weeks ago I watched your vid of Snowshooze primer stop mod video and then ended up buying his Grand Slam Upgrade Kit. Arrived today so I'm planning on install tomorrow. No directions so I'm really glad to see your realtime installs. Now to search out that video...Keep up the good work showing us how to keep on improving the xl650

That looks like powder all over your press. Cleanliness is next to Godliness. IMO Thanks for the vid. I try to watch a lot of them whether I agree or not. Makes me more informed.

Thanks for watching. I try to keep it cleaned up. At the time of this video I was loading about 2-3k a week. So I may have fallen behind a little!! Thanks for noticing and throwing up a coment!

While I appreciate the effort and information in this video, I estimate that it's 2 to 3 times as long as it needs to be due to lack of preparation. This is why I prefer reading to watching videos. More information, less yacking, please.

that primercatchers guy is just a terrible copy-cat stealing other people's ideas and selling inferior quality products. lots of complaints on ebay and mine broke after a month of use.
@bravo1xray5226 жыл бұрын
Im sorry for your experience. Not sure what could have broke on your set up. I have about 3500 rounds with mine and not a hic-up. There is no stress on any of these parts and should not break with proper installation and use. I would recommend reaching out to them directly and see wat they will do for you.

@@bravo1xray522 I had one of their catchers for the RCBS press and ended up buying from a different vendor (slightly different design, but never had an issue with that one)
