Primers For Under Seint & Demi

I received my Seint back in April or May and had a little trouble at first. A few days later I received the Korean skin care that Michelle recommended, the Snail Mucin essence. This was a game changer for a 68 year old woman living in the desert. I cannot use Seint and Demi without it. The end result is a beautiful dewy finish that everyone comments on. I have tried primer (Milk - no, Tacha - Yes) but I find I do not need it. I love to read how you all love Michelle, I was fortunate to live next door to her in LA for many years and she is just as you see her - beautiful, smart, REAL - amazing. Love you Michelle!

I have super oily skin and Embroylise, Elf and Smashbox do not work on my skin. I just started using the Neutrogena Shine Control Matyifying Primer and is working great so far!

@@RL-nc4cm yes exactly. It was looking dry. I first got Demi in August when it was hot and humid and it was looking so good. But when the colder weather came it started to look dry and patchy. But the embryolisse helps a lot and I also sometimes put it on my eye and let it sit for a minute for it to warm up a little then use my finger or the brush to spread it out.

My favorite under the Seint/Demi is by far the Embryolisse (its my ALL TIME favorite) all over especially under my eyes, then I use the Milani pore perfection(the black tube) around my nose, chin and apple as of my cheeks for a smoother look. LOVE the combo! By the way I am OBSESSED with using the Typology tinted serum with my Demi, the Typology is beautiful for mature skin, I have been using it for about a year now, and paired with the Demi is OMG beautiful!

I had IPL a cure of 4-5 treatments. My sunspots faded and my skin was clearer. But dark spots doesn't disapeared.

I have both the Elf primer and Embryolisse, I tend to like the Elf for me but it does show pores more. I was watching your skin after you used both primers and I really think I like the sheen of the Elf and not the velvet look the Embryolisse was giving you. Thank you for doing this!

“The close up Beauty channel!”. ❤️🙌🏻 This really is the best channel. After about 2-3 months of watching you (and being my artist after switching), I have really learned a lot! I am 42 with a 18yr old daughter and have tried a few products that you have recommended. I’ve had many IPL treatments. 1st time 10 years ago I had a lot of sun spots, took 6-7 days for the “peppering “ to wash off, could wear makeup day 3 on. The other times, down time just 24-36 hrs due to the redness-no raw or broken skin at all. I had a high setting . Feels like a rubber band snapping you -be prepared. Now I’m red for a day, slight “peppering” for 3-4 days. Definitely can wear makeup day 2-4. Best to do 3 treatments spaced 5-6 weeks apart. It has also helped with some firming . I do 3 IPL/year in NOV, Dec, Jan, then alternate ZO chemical peel and hydra facials the other months.

When I first got seint I learned that skin care/prep was a big deal for how the makeup looked and wore. I lean oily. I don't even use a moisturizer with seint I only use my drmtlgy sunscreen - the clear one. It's a little matte so it keeps the makeup from turning too oily. The milk hydrogrip primer is too hydrating for me and my skin looks oily as the day goes on. Although they have a matte primer that works well with seint. Sometimes I use the supergoop mattescreen and it has a slight tint to it and it works really well too as a base. Funny timing, I got embryolisse today and I'm excited to play with it. So true what Michelle says abt being patient with the skincare in particular with seint makeup. If I rush things or use anything to silicone-y, the makeup will turn see-through and fade/lighten. I'm so happy I've been patient with the learning curve bc I'm loving the makeup. The brushes make a difference too!!

I get IPL on my face, neck, chest and backs of my hands once a year during the summer and I love it. I just go home that day and put cool cloths on my face because it feels hot but other than that I’m back to normal the next day. No irritations at all. My aesthetician describes the brown spots that come to the surface as “coffee grounds” and it really does look like that. But it’s nothing like peeling or other side effects where you can’t wear normal makeup after. I think you would like the results!

I've been trying and trying and can't get the hang of it. I've tried pouncing the brush, doesn't work. I try buffing. Which I'd prefer to do and still doesn't look great. I ended up using my old foundation and just using the contour & blush. I'm so bummed I can't figure it out.

I was new to Seint and it was a learning experience! Hang in there! I’m 72 and it’s like skincare. People actually stop and want to know what skincare I have on!! BBL is the best! It is a strong IPL. I only did one treatment and all my dark spots literally fell off. I did not peel nearly as bad as with a TCA peel

Oh my goodness! First time I've heard anyone talk about the sloughing from tretinoin when trying to apply makeup. I love the effects of my skincare routine that sloughs, but it makes keeping makeup on difficult for me. Less is best for me! I'd love to hear more about how you handle this problem. Sometimes my makeup looks great when I put it on and halfway through the day I go through and find my whole chin is peeling like crazy! The only thing that helps me is the IT Confidence in a Cream lotion. I carry this with me so I can put it on throughout the day. Does anyone else have any tips? :)

I have been using the Elf power primer, mostly because of the price point. I think it works, but I have noticed that my pores also really show. I think when it is out I’m going to try the Embryolisse though I am a little worried about the scent since I am pretty sensitive to it.

Hi.... I'm the one who asked on your Full face of Maybelline video if you'd ever had IPL fotofacial. It disintegrates capillaries, gets rid of Melasma and lifts brown spots. I am a few years older than you, but have skin similar to yours, very few brown spots, and it works great on me! The best part is the firming you get at about the 7-10 day mark. I always get some swelling the day after, usually in the morning because I've been down all night, but not bad. And for me, the lifting usually starts immediately on the tiny stuff with the bigger spots taking about 4-6 days. But you are able to wear some coverup, just don't pick off the patches, let them release on their own. I get one once a year in the fall or winter to get rid of any sun damage I may have gotten over the summer. As a matter of fact...... I'm getting it done on Saturday. 😃

I got my cartilage piercings when I was 40. The helix took almost 2 years to not bother me when sleeping on my side. I will say that it is important to get cartilage piercings done by professional piercers and not the jewelry store ones. Cartilage piercings should never be done by guns either. I have used Seint before when it was Maskara (spelling?). I liked it okay but I didn’t play with it enough and I think my color matching wasn’t quite right. Am really interested in trying the Demi and another color match. I don’t know my artist as I my first one passed away 😢and then I had another who left. I would love to fill out a form.

I’ve been on tretinoin almost 4 weeks. Using 2 per week. Think I’m at the end of major purging. What are you using to slough off the dead skin? I’m afraid to use a manual exfoliating product since I already using a glycolic in my skin care. ✌🏻

They say not to use acids or chemical exfoliants with Tret, too much and can strip the skin barrier. I use the tatcha skin polish, super gentle, or thr Eminence Polish, has a little SA so I only use it 2x a week and it rinses away
