I watched prime time Glick when it was originally on, but I’m scouring the internet for every interview he ever did now. I wish I could find the full Larry David interview or the Larry King episode he, I think, hosted.

Besides watching the follow up movie today for the first time to this hit show I heard, I also get a feeling that I'll love this show. And I've always enjoyed Martin Shorts acting like this. He's so perfectly over the top. Like most of the comedians, even modern day. And my late mom enjoyed Martin Shorts acting a lot, may she rest in peace almost 13 years later.

I am happy to present these videos on my channel! I love Martin short so much; and the work he did with Jan Hooks is so amazing. Have you watched the Martin short special that I posted? The cast includes Jan and Phil Hartman. I think it’s some of the best work Martin Short has done. Thanks for watching!

About 20 years ago I had gotten 2 free tickets to see Martin Short in Atlantic City, and at one part of the show he came out as Jiminy Glick. His guest was Jerry Cooney, the boxer, and JIminy interviewed him thinking it was George Clooney. The whole show was funny.

Does anyone remember Jiminy interviewing various big celebrities and asking them to comment on the "fact" that they share a birthday with another celebrity?

Tells you everything you need to know about Bill Maher's lack of comedy chops when he tries to land zingers against an over-the-top fictional character.

Different style of comedy. Maher doesn’t come from an improv background, he carefully thinks out his act. Nothing wrong with it, just different. Short comes from a deep immersion in improv.

@@steveleeartyou mean carefully has a team of writers prepare a script for him to perform😂 idk if you still watch him, but just last year all his writers joined the writer’s strike and his schtick was just like this; stale and unwitty, panicked and floundering under the unsured weight of their own known unfunniness

I would say the same of Seinfeld, but people love him in his interview with Jiminy for some reason. I think the Maher interview is great though, mainly thanks to Jiminy, but Bill gives him good material to work around!
