When I was a kid (1947) I took a train from that station to Pennsylvania. It was impressive then and it's still impressive.

I have went to this Union Station in San Diego back in 2016. This station was built in 1915 for the Santa Fe Railroad.

How old is the train station? It is a gorgeous building with the wooden arched doors and windows, the tile on the walls and the wooden benches. Thanks for showing this to us!

It is just over 100 years old! It is a gorgeous building, you are right! This is my favorite Amtrak station to date. I have to keep going and find them all!

Built in 1915 by the Santa Fe railroad to go along with the California Panama Exhibition, it replaced an older Victorian station.
