Actually this Soundwave was really short compared to Megatron and Starscream. I re-watched a clip of the Africa scene in Dark of the Moon, and his SS toy is pretty much dead-on with his on-screen height. Don't forget Soundwave is a Mercedes Benz SLS AMG, while Megatron is a Mack Titan with a trailer. If he was only the tractor unit, he might be a bit shorter, but since he has the trailer, that gives him more height. Plus Megatron doesn't walk with as much of a bend in his legs like he did in Revenge of the Fallen. Also Soundwave has no visor in Dark of the Moon. He only has one in Revenge of the Fallen like you kind of stated latter.

@1:23 Soundwave in the DotM film never had a visor. (His eyes were completely visible) I think the original Deluxe Class DotM Soundwave & Human Alliance Soundwave had visors to resemble more of a G1 look.

His height to megs is right. Soundwave was 16 feet (4.9m) Megs was 35 feet (10.6m)

TF: Studio Series DOTM Soundwave looks very cool. And it's neat that he has his little assassin Laserbeak as well. Thought, I do wish that he and his pet bird would have some more colors, like their original DOTM figures. But what lacks in colors, is made up for with the improved sculpted details, they're more screen acurate and more improved upon from his original DOTM figures. I too, believe that Soundwave should be a bit taller then he is now, so maybe a ROTF Studio Series figure of him might fit that. -Also if the Studio Series toyline does release him again as Soundblaster, then I hope he has his silver/black/yellow colors(just like the TF: Siege toy) and come with his two blaster weapons.

I love this Soundwave design, it looks good, the car looks great, the transformation doesn't look hard, and anything else that is good on the figure. One problem is his size inaccuration. But still definitely looking forward on buying this figure.

I veryyy recently acquired this figure. I have not had any problems with the window popping off, or the headlight ball joints. I admit the clearence isnt the best but i thankfully managed it. The figure is amazing. Im sad i could only get one, but the 2007 camaro bee and the arcee triplets were at my local target. I do plan to acquire them soon if i can

Yeah looking back at this, the reason why Megatron is so big is that his legs are straightened out way more so that's why he's so tall. Also looking at a size chart. Megatron is 35' and Soundwave is 16'. From the pictures from the same chart he's about to his knees if not a little bit over.

For DOTM Megatron, your supposed to have the knees bent as much as possible. Like, the bottom joint is supposed to be bent forward as far as it will go, and the top must be set back 3 clicks.

If you look at the scene in Africa you will see that Soundwave is very small next to Megatron and Starscream.

Megatron would look slightly more in scale if you fully bend the lower knees forward and the upper knees slightly back (chicken-leg style) and hunch him over. DOTM Megatron isn't really designed to be fully upright. Anyways that would only improve the scale slightly. Also, good review and this is definitely a superior movie Soundwave figure!

Great review as always but yes Soundwave scale is correct when compared to Megatron.....it looked different due to the fact Megatron was hunched over in DOTM....and his head is on point he does have eyes in DOTM. The visor was in RotF not DOTM

if you go back and watch dark of the Moon Megatron his legs are actually supposed to be that like double knee insect looking thing like a lot of the other decepticons and if you bend his legs like that he fits really well in scale with everything

In terms oh height comparison, Megatrons legs are fully extended in the review however they should be fully bent at all the angles, when properly positioned, all of the SS Megatron figures are the same height.
