So your in the wild needing a bow....makes sense.... Your project seems easy to do and effective.... IF you should stumble across a quiver of feathered arrows.... are those aluminum? Even better.

That’s actually a good bushcraft bow. I’m sure it could be used for small game, but it shouldn’t take much to make one like it that will be good for taking hogs, or deer.

Honestly it depends on a lot. Outdoor temperature and humidity, as well as the moisture left in the bamboo. If you dried the bamboo (in the shade and dry) it would last for a very long time. Green bamboo won't last very long.

Use a thicker [piece of Bamboo or several small ones together like a bundle bow

take a hugely thick limb and cut in 4 then sandwich together 3 pieces with some wood glue. you can also recurve it with heat or boiling water
