Primitive Dough Bowl Fillers & Making Over Booth Items For Resale

I have a few items that have been hanging around the booth too long, and I want to add or change them to resell fast. So I brought them home to do just that. I bought some silicon molds for primitive dough bowl fillers from Amazon (link below), and I will show you a simple, easy, way to grubby them up.

Wet distressing wood always brings out a natural looking age. I'm really starting to love the primitive world... things are less expensive, simplar, and rustic. I know it’s not the same material but when I mold fondant, put it in the freezer for a few minutes. It stiffens it up and you can take it out without it deforming. Can’t hurt to try it with the clay. ❤️

Beautiful Shelly put your molds and clay in the freezer or dust your molds with cornstarch it really helps

What about putting the molds in the freezer for awhile?

Try popping the bee molds into your freezer for about 20 minutes. Let them freeze, then pop them outta the mold to dry completely, handling very little. Those are really thick, it'll take awhile, but the freezer should set the outside hard so it can cleanly be demolded.

Can you burn the grubby candles?

If you don’t grubby the top it will burn. Once it is covered with mod podge, it’s only for decor.

Hi Shelly. I recently subscribed to your channel. I love your country/ primitive style projects and appreciate how you share the step by step creations. I went out and got mod podge, chalk paint, brushes etc and did my first small project,which was the grubby mix to my battery candles and they came out great...Now, I can continue with bigger projects, thanks to you.
