After finishing the long trip I returned to the tent. Prepare food and smoke wild boar meat. Smoking wild boar meat will help preserve the meat longer. And finally I went to get the bamboo tube to store the fat of wild boar.
Have fun watching the video!

Next time, if you want to extract even more pork fat (lard), chop it up very small before heating it to render out as much fa as possible. The fried chunks, cracklings, will be a lot smaller as well, but you'll have a lot more of the lard available. If you strain the cracklings out of the lard, the lard will also last longer, though you'd have to weave a mesh sieve or poke lots of holes for a collander.

If you make the hide into leather you could make yourself some real nice shoes, or even a water skin to replace the bamboo water carriers you have. I would say a new shirt but you would need a second boar for that. You have all the stuff to tan it though for the most part You soak the hide in limewater and that’s just made with water and quicklime the stuff you put in the cement, and then you scrape the fur off of it after it soaks, then you put it in tannin and after that you rinse it and stretch it out to dry. I’ve probably missed a few steps though.
