The POV camera angle you used during the carving and tying is super helpful for dummies like me. Sometimes when I'm trying to reproduce stuff from video its difficult to understand what I'm looking at but no questions with this one. Thanks Pooter!

Another excellent demonstration I am excited for the series on trapping you do a great job showing step by step. This trap is nice due to how sensitive the trigger is just a little more set up then figure 4.

I'm conflicted...we have several acres with a lot of wildlife, I could practice this and not get caught, but aside from being illegal I'd feel really bad killing something for practice. Still interesting skills to have. Thanks!
@TonyPowers_Dirtbound
@TonyPowers_Dirtbound 2 жыл бұрын
Just practice making them and setting them up. These traps have been around for thousands of years and are extremely effective. As long as you understand how to create them and set them up you won’t have to leave them out and kill anything or risk getting in trouble

@@TonyPowers_Dirtbound I think I will. I’m sure there are subtleties to it that can only be learned in the actual using…but a fun bit of carving regardless. Looking forward to the series. Congratulations on being a Pathfinder instructor, rare company indeed!

Great video as always Tony !! I'm going to practice this and see what I can do with it . Not leaving it up but just practicing. I'm sure it could really come in handy if these grocery prices keep going up. I'll have to find some heavy creek rock and try it out . Thank you for the information Tony!! Take care and stay safe my friend !!

Really nice trap and good explanation of how to make this. What bait would you use and how do you attach it to the bait stick? Thanks Tony.
@TonyPowers_Dirtbound
@TonyPowers_Dirtbound 2 жыл бұрын
You can use a frog, crawfish, entrails from fish and other animals. You would simply shove the stick through the bait

Say Mr. Powers are you do going to ever go back to making some type of Bushcraft videos like you did when you first arrived on Utube ? I understand that the Pandemic has messed up a lot of videos from Utubers out on Utube land. Anyways I’m just asking, haven’t seen that many from you since the pandemic started. Keep up the great work.
