I apologize that this comment is a bit off topic. I have seen you guys mention a number of times on your channel that there are ways to get Caesars Rewards Diamond. I looked at the Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Card. Even though I have a very high credit score, I do not have a business, and it seems like this card actually looks to verify information about the business before issuing the card. And even though I have high status with some other hotel programs, it appears that Wyndham is not doing any new status matches at this time. Other than actually gambling or using the Founders Card route, am I out of luck? Is there any other way of getting Caesars Rewards Diamond that I am missing? Is there any article online that you could point me to with instructions? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Primm was always my “potty stop” between LA and Vegas. We’d often stop at Primms for that last bit of gambling before heading home. And, if I had time, I’d go and shop the mall. This is sad.

I was living in Henderson in 2015 and having trouble finding work, when I interviewed at the offices of William Hill. They offered me a job at the sports book in Primm. They said they could put me up in a room at the hotel and that if I could endure a year of living/working in Primm, then I could get transferred to a different location or even promoted to an office job. I initially accepted the job offer and they ordered a uniform and arrangements started being made to move me out there. But I was feeling increasingly uneasy about it, realized that living in such an isolated environment would be bad for my mental health so I declined the job in the end. After watching this, I'm so glad I trusted my gut! Phew! At least I got a couple great kitties out of it (my cats were kittens rescued from a parking garage in Primm!).

Seeing the mall like that hit me in the feels. Been going to Vegas a couple times a year since 2008, and my wife and I used to go to the mall with our little girls at the time to shop. I remember being on dad duty trying to keep my girls occupied while shopping. They were 7 & 4 in 2008. Good memories, and sad to see it in this condition.

There’s always been a casino in Primm. It’s the closest Nevada location to Californians looking to gamble. (Same reason Mesquite & Wendover have casinos near/on the state line.)

I drove buses in San Diego years ago and took a youth football team to a tournament in Vegas. We stayed at Whiskey Pete's and did some shopping at the mall. Almost bought an engagement ring there! I stayed at Buffalo Bills once. I really liked that casino. Won about $400 in blackjack there.

I’d pass through Primm many times. I stayed once at Whiskey Petes. I stayed also at Primmadonna. I was always fascinated by the huge rollercoaster at Buffalo Bills. Shopped at the mall in its heyday. I always visited the Bonny and Clyde car exhibit. The mall also had a spot featuring Evel Knievel’s motorcycle and sky cycle on display. It’s sad to see how it is now but at least i’ve got good memories of what was to share with my family and friends.

I used to work at that mall the year it opened, my senior year, at the Wilson Leather outlet store. That mall was insanely busy then, and my shifts would go by so fast because I was helping so many customers. Its crazy to see that its an absolute ghost town now. You didn't touch on it too much, but me being a Vegas local, the Sherrice Iverson tragedy was beyond sad. That guy that killed her was an absolute monster. Also her dad has some fault in this by letting her and her little brother run around a casino unsupervised at 1 am!

We've stayed at all 3 properties in the past and ended up opting for Buffalo Bills as our preferred option. Rode all the rides, the monorails, eaten at all the various restaurants. To save money we would book a room at BB and then drive into Vegas to spend the days, then back to Primm to gamble the night away. Also made an easier return (about 40 min less) to CA when it was return day. Won a few nice jackpots. Once waiting for check-in at PrimaDonna won a $4500 Video Blackjack. Nice. Thanks for the videos, they bring back a lot of memories. We now stay on the strip, mainly at the Encore, but we miss those many years through the various changes of ownership at Primm Vallet Resorts, etc.

Thanks for the memories! My family and I moved to LV to open a store at the Fashion Outlet when it first opened in 1998. It was a kiosk that sold souvenirs near the entrance that was the closest to the escalators. We practically lived out of the Buffalo Bills hotel for about 4 months. I spent so much time at both the arcade in Primm and Buffalo Bills. Those were good times! It was around 99-00 when they closed the kiosk, and opened a store selling Mexican curios and silver jewelry where the Levis is located today. They closed that store sometime in the early 2000s to open a store on the strip. It's sad to see the state of disrepair the mall is facing :(

Thanks for sharing. Truly amazing how this is just gone down the drain. I remember shopping at the mall on the drives home from Las Vegas, hung over and eating at the food court towards the end of the mall. This was between the years of 2000 and 2010. It is so sad to see all big name designer stores shut down like that, in the mall. What a bummer! Even the three casinos at state line, prima donna, Whiskey Pete's, and Buffalo Bills are looking rundown. It was such great excitement coming down the hill on the 15 freeway traveling north and seeing all three casinos lit up at night. Those were the days…

Totally agree. Man that’s when you knew the party was about to get started when you headed down that hill and there were the casinos all lit up. Late one night with no one on the road there may or may not have been some speed limits shattered in my old Firebird Formula heading down that hill. :)

I should add that most of my memories are from the early 90s to early 2000. Had a nice win one night on the video poker at that big bar at Buffalo Bill’s. This was after getting my ass kicked all night long. Felt good to finally pull off a big win. They even gave me a room for free for the night. Felt sort of like a high roller for a 20 something year old kid. LOL.

Had a lot of fun here in the 90's. Our whole family loved riding back and fourth on that monorail, it was one of the coolest things ever. Rode the Ferris wheel more than once. I know I mentioned something on one of your other videos but depressing is the right word. When I was a young sailor in the Navy Primm/Stateline was always a stop on the way to and from Las Vegas. With the little monorail you could leave your car parked and have a great time. If you had too much to drink you didn’t have to worry. Emotional and wonderful memories come to mind. Nicely done.

WOW, I live in Henderson, Nevada. Wife and I stayed there regularly for over 20 years. We really don't go there much anymore. Throughout the years, we knew things were being scaled back due to the amusement park closing, Buffalo Bills closed for many years. Bus service completely stopped operating. Banquets and free gifts stopped as well. We've seen a decline for many years, but I'm totally taken aback by what I'm seeing now in this video, really shocked. Had very nice memories for over 2 decades, and now all we will have is fond and happy memories. Thank you for giving us an update!!

As a kid, we stopped at these outlets and Primadonna all through the late 90s and early 00s 2/3 times a year. I always looked forward to it and continue to go as an adult with my family and friends when we would travel to Las Vegas. I believe the last time we went was in 2016 because it was clear they were losing stores. It went from pretty full to 50% so fast, we just stopped going. I had a feeling driving by the last 5 years that this was the state of it.

So true, Staffing was always a issue. For awhile they did offer residential sleeping quarters off the main hotels. But it was a challenge finding those willing to basically live there during their off-days, and being fully staffed on their next scheduled work day on a consistent basis.. Cheap gas prices helped. Take away that, and the commute from Vegas was not so easy to justify and work scuttles were not convenient as a trip alternative for transportation. I remember how busy that mall area and Primm was in general. A work colleague serviced that area along with areas in Southern NV, and it was a challenge everyday to complete his responsibilities due to the time constraints that it entitled.

Yes, I absolutely shopped in this mall all the time on my way into Vegas! It was great! It's unbelievable how quickly trends fade these days. The Primadonna, with its elegant popcorn lights lining the exterior, was the classy option whereas Buffalo Bill's was the "Fun" theme park option. Whiskey Pete's was...well, the ghetto option. But it was great having all three connected by rail. You could have a mini vacation right there without even going all the way to Vegas. So sad to see it now!

Born in 89' and began visiting Primm and Jean in 93' at least 10 times a year traveling from LA. As a kid my grand parents would drop an elder cousin and I off to the arcade at whiskey Pete's. We would always ride the tram over the freeway to Primm and shuttle to Buffalo bills which had the larger arcade. I remember there being security added to the arcade after the Iverson killing. All three casinos used to be busy as hell. When we didn't stay at lady luck in vegas we usually would spend the beginning of our trip at Primm and the rest at Gold Strike. I fondly remember the fun I had at Gold Strike in their nickel arcade and would indulge in the free shrimp cocktails and 99 cent footlong chili cheese dogs from the casino coupon book. 😋 There was also another casino in the area called Nevada landing which was busy as well. As an adult I would stop at Primm to stock my ebay store with sale items from Nike factory, Polo, coach, and Tommy Bahamas. The mall was a place to catch a good last minute deal. Stores would have up %80 off sales weekly which drew a lot of shoppers. I remember all 3 property being busy with tourists and gamblers from the casino turnaround buses. It would get extremely packed when there was severe weather or bad traffic from the construction of the agricultural checkpoint. Business was good until covid hit. Primm valley resort turned into a ghost town and all the stores vacated the outlet area. The only attraction left on Primm was the lotto store which is on the california side of the parking lot. Sad to see how times have changed. These places were great attractions 🙁

The now empty area leading into the mall had older slots and I tried my luck. I wanted to walk through the mall, but the entrance was barricaded off. The Bonny and Clyde car was still there also (now at Buffalo's, saw your video). Only 1 food option, the pizza place was open, decided to pass eating there. Worked at Kate Spade ♠️ and Náutica back in 2015; I remember every weekend was busy and especially that Holiday Season. I loved the inexpensive Chinese buffet they had-would spend my lunch in there eating and watching videos.

I remember this place in 2000’s era. The whole area felt like it was just so lively and busy. Right place at the right time I suppose. Almost makes me envy those born later who never got to see the decline. I wish I had a digital camcorder back then to record how busy and grand it was.

My wife and I would spend 4th of July out there. Stay two nights and just take the Tram from BB to whiskey Pete's. We would get to the truck in the parking lot, drop the tailgate and watch the great fireworks display. Good times for sure!

Thanks for this trip down memory lane! I used to work at the Primm Coffee Shop when it was called The Gallery Cafe back in 2012-2013. I took the shuttle bus from the downtown bus station to Primm Valley Casino. I was surprised to learn GP's Steakhouse is now closed. I knew quite a few restaurant workers from the Gallery Cafe and GP's Steakhouse, since we shared the kitchen area. Too bad this place is like a ghost town now, it will always hold a special place in my heart.

Thanks for video. I've been going to Whiskey Pete's since early 90's in my 20's. Then Primadonna & Buffalo Bills throughout the years. We learned about slots, comps, buffets, hotels etc from these 3 casino/resorts. Seriously we were young, not much $ & we really enjoyed all of these places. The mall, the $15 rooms, all u can eat at Primm buffet & Bullalo Bills, just so much fun. Gas was $1 so we went to the State Line EVERY weekend seriously. Bingo at the star of desert arena was comped & we got mostly everything free cause we went so much & earned alot of points. We learned all about casinos & won more than we lost. It was always crowded, especially on holidays. Once we grew up lol, we ventured into Las Vegas & never won. Things were more expensive & we always went back to Primm & Buffalo Bills to stay & would drive into Las Vegas to play. I guess we all get old. I miss the hey day of the state line. We are now in our 50's. We started going as boyfriend & girlfriend & we were casino virgins back then. Now older, more $ & less time. But we still pass by & stop to get gas & reminisce. And we finally got married in Las Vegas last year during the covid closure. So sad to see the condition of mall & food court. Whatever happened to the golf course? U didn't mention that. I felt like I witnessed the death of an old friend watching your video. We had a crappy car, not much $ and we really thought we had found our special place. That was 30 years ago, so much simpler & amazing how happy we were. People look at the state line now & it's worn down & I get it. But I cherish my experiences & thanks again.

We went there to Primm Valley, visited that mall in October. Loved getting the hot dogs at the bar and playing the slots. The pool was nice, rooms decent. Hopefully they'll open up the rollercoaster at Buffalo Bills to inject a little action back into that place. And yes, I do remember the buffet back at Primm. Better days gone by it seems.

I live in NJ, which has the most shopping malls per capita in the USA. A number of malls have gone bankrupt, or, like this mall, only have a few stores left, others closed up entirely. The odd thing is, they keep building more new malls, instead of redoing the existing malls. This mall looks like it was beautiful back when it was fully functional. So sad, really. Thanks for the tour, you presented it well!

@Karl with a K sometimes they cut corners when they build new buildings. Material they use isn’t a strong as it used to be either. I do understand that when you remove some of the items from the building like the asbestos, it could be expensive for the disposal. With all of those wasted properties being left empty I think it’s sad. They could do something with those buildings, I’m sure.

Me and a car full of friends went to see Buffalo Bills one of the first weekends it opened way back in 1994 on our way to Oceanside. It was so busy! I remember watching the rollercoaster slowly go up and then hearing all the screams as it roared down! Im so happy they reopened the resort. Very sad to see the mall and Primadonna in that condition. Hope to stop there on our next trip to Vegas. Brought back some nice memories for sure..

They’re gonna build a Brightline from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, unfortunately this will mean the monorails will be demolished so this will seal the deal for the monorails and potentially the resort too

I remembered when I first came here in 2002 as a magician’s assistant, performing with my magician boss/mentor. We would stop here by and large upon going by to and from Vegas, this was one of our favorite stops. We’ve performed in other places such as New Orleans, LA. Reno, NV., Orlando, FL., or Branson, MO. But going to or from Vegas, and stopping here was such a treat. What a shame it is practically gone, now. I was last here in 2017.

As a kid we passed through here a lot between L.A. and Vegas. One day, I finally got the courage to try the rollercoaster, at the time it was built, it was the tallest and steepest. Aside from the first drop, which was scary as a kid, it was rather mellow with a few camel humps, but a bit rough too. At the gift shop in the exit I got a shirt that said "I survived the Desperado" (the name of the coaster) and you felt like you earned that shirt lol. That place was once packed, so full of promise.

@Karl with a K as you mentioned, it's in the middle of nowhere... we used to pass through there all the time, still do sometimes only stopping if we need gas. It Always looked like it was a ghost town waiting to happen. I went in the mall only once cause I was curious, and even back in the late 90s it wasnt that impressive. [Only impressive that it was that fancy for where it was], but Buffalo Bill's was rather exciting when it first opened (for a kid anyways) but even then I Never understood why there was such big hotels there. If you made it that far, why stop there unless you were the desperate one at the end of a long night, you might as well make it the rest of the way to Vegas

Great video, albeit sad. I remember shopping at an Eddie Bauer Outlet Store in that mall back in the day. We were staying in Las Vegas but drove all the way down to Primm because we wanted to cross over into California to buy lottery tickets. That, I think, is probably the biggest reason why people from Las Vegas go to that area now.

A good memory was when coming back from Montana and stopping on a Aug 1998 Saturday night, my wife said you need to call a supervisor, it's important. Around the corner on the right side of the bar was a men's room and a tall picture of a 1890s gent in a derby hat and there was a pay phone, I called as requested and he told me to make sure I was there Monday morning for an interview for a big promotion which I got.

I used to visit Primm back in 2014 to 2017. My wife liked the Williams Sonoma outlet store. There were many more stores as well open, along with the food court. There were always Chinese tourists there. Primm was our first stop when we permanently left California. However, everything was closed (except the gas stations) as this was March 2020, the start of the lockdowns.

I always wanted to go back there after Afghanistan but I just never got to it. I was surprised at how sad I was to see it in this state. Feels like a dream looking back at it all now. I stumbled across your video. It really brings back a lot of memories. Back in the 90s, I would routinely visit my friend in San Diego. Before hitting Vegas we would stop in Jean, Nv and hit the Nevada Landing and the Gold Strike casinos.

Thank you for bringing us along for this video, it is so sad to see this once vibrant bustling property in such poor condition. MGM and Terribles doomed these casinos when they went out of their way to draw a more upscale crowd that was never going to be attracted to these properties. It cost them the crowd that had filled all three properties for many years along with a busy packed mall with big name brands like NIKE. You can't go fishing for the whales when you are only set up to cater to large numbers of minnows the regulars left, and they never came back. Although I'm sure the people responsible for destroying the business got to leave with a golden parachute as usual. I remember telling my wife when they started bringing in the high denomination machines and pushing the golf course that it was the beginning of the end for Stateline. An ocean of cars stuck in traffic, and you can't tempt them to pull off the FWY for a few hours to have some fun in the casinos, outlet mall or restaurants. or book a cheap room to just shower and rest until the traffic subsides. They were out of touch with their customer base, and it cost them everything.
