I looked at these at academy and the bottom extension wouldn’t hold positions with much weight on it and it would slip Down very noisy without even pulling the trigger. So I bought the $40 Allen one that didn’t slip

Do you feel it's strong enough to double as a waking stick?

Just as a sturdy walking stick. I wouldn’t use it the same way as a set of trekking poles with a load of meat on my back, but I would trust it as a stability/stabilizing pole for helping keep balance. Hope this helps. Thanks for asking and for watching.
