Also, it's somewhat against the spirit of racing when racers just stay down counting points, instead of going for the win. Quoting Senna "If you no longer go for a gap that exists, you are no longer a racing driver because we are competing, we are competing to win". This is true for all kinds of racing.

@@huwillysh I doubt about ‘deliberately’ part if you have reliable sources proving that I would look. Senna was an aggressive driver and that is why he was so loved. He also would often drive unsafe, which I do not endorse. Here Roglic did not do anything unsafe, if he had pushed Mader or something I would not approve it.

The announcer focusing on Roglic taking it from Mader rather than the impressive ride of Roglic was LAME. It's not 1985...bike racing like all sports has evolved. I loved the racing back in the day...but this is way better. Look at how good Tirreno Adriatico has been. WOW

Cycling might seem like an individual sport but it def takes a team to win. Can’t let a stage win slip. Looked like Primoz gave that kid as much of a chance as he could and he couldn’t hold on. Get stronger and try again. 2nd place isn’t anything to be discouraged at. 🤘🏼

This Swis guy was fighting with all heart for win today. But as we can see enormous difference in power at the end really didn’t deserve to win. If they would sprint more active in climb, they would catch him 4 km before end.

GC riders must be on top of the game every single day... non-GC riders take it slow for a day or two to rest a bit and then try to win a stage... is that fair.

If you check stage 4 of Tirreno-Adriatico you could say the same for Pogačar... No serious competitors there...

This 2 races have interesting division of racers. I see here big majority of best mountain riders and in Tirreno are all one day racing stars. Pogacar couldn’t win here in same way as is in Tirreno. Roglic&Vlasov&etc. Wouldnt allow to escape.
