I love her but I refuse to be tempted. I'm clenching all rubies for my husbandos Cyrus and Therion. They could drop any moment. SE is clearly not following JP banner schedule.

I appreciate the flexibility in her kit, actually. You can run her on AoEs for mobbing, she works as a DPS/breaker for dark/fan weak bosses, and she can be a buffer on other bosses. It's good to know she synergizes well with Lynette, too, if I happen to get her. I haven't commented on your other videos, but I've been using a combination of them and meowdb's written guides to get going with CotC. Your videos are very well structured and a great resource to have, especially so early in the game's lifespan. Thanks a bunch for making these.

primrose is easily my favorite girl from the original 8, and while i'd love to pull for her now, i promised myself i'd save up for olberic. tho with how quickly they're adding new characters it might just be better for me to wait for a step up

from what im seeing, seems like SE is putting out the banners for the original octopath characters. imo i feel like cyrus would come out really close, maybe like within the next 2 months. So far in the 2-3 weeks since the game came out for US, tressa and now primrose. With heathcote banner coming in between, theres a chance SE is planning to put out an original member cast every other banner

Thank you for the video! Primrose is one of my favorite characters so i had to pull on her banner, luckily got her in the first 10 pull! Really awesome character, story and theme👌🏻 The only one that tops it for me is Cyrus' theme. But man, they pit out these banners rral fast, i hope i can get Ophelia. I am in desperate need of a great healer

@Shizukatz wondering if you'll ever do an explanation on the Crystal of Rememberence located in the Exchange/Others section. The description says its for Equipment Upgrades but all it gives you is Leaves... any idea if their will be a Upgrades System implemented in the future???

While I'm not sure when, they are indeed used for Upgrading certain weapons in the future, although I believe it requires Kota's Shop to be available in the Nameless Town first.

Waiting for Therion and H’aanit….wanted to collect all 8 original characters but only have limited rubies. Got very lucky when summoning for Tressa with only 10 pulls.

I have done 55 pulls in total. The game mocked me completely, I got 4 five stars and they were all two Violets and two Sofias which I already had!

I find Primrose to be better than Lynette until Lynette gets her special. Primrose has a better buff, buffing ATK/DEF/MAG/SPEED whereas Lynette only has ATK/MAG buff. Primrose also has SP regen & better offensive Mag stat, sp stat, and speed stat. Also Lynettes special requires a dupe Lynette, which most F2P players arent going to have an easy time acquiring. If someone wants a buffer/dancer than Primrose is honestly the better choice, and even if you have Lynette getting Primrose will still be beneficial because you can keep 1 in front row and the other in the backrow and basically be able to bounce and rotate buffs often. Primrose also has buff extender passive and 4 hit attack

Super helpfull info. I have a questions about the banners tho. I have 130 fragments of Sofia/Fiore but I already got both of them and wanna try to get Primrose. Can I save the fragments and change them in the future or the banners only appear once only and is better to exchange them or I will lose them?

Banners' fragments only work for their own banner. Additionally, they cannot be saved, and will expire on the date indicated in the Exchange.

Obviously people want to pull for 8th units from original Octopath Traveler due to nostalgia reasons. At same time some of them making other units completely weak (Cyrus is great example over shadowing Sofia)

How often did JP have step-up banners? Is there a chronological list somewhere of all the JP banners (not character releases, banners including repeats, step-up, paid versions, multi character, etc).

Usually every 2 weeks or so, however Step Ups did not begin until 7 months into JP.

Aight I'll wait for cyrus and just stick with Lynette... speaking of I pulled her as an 4.5 star(same goes for Gilderoy and Theo), so my question is, should I save their skill points for when the day comes that I promote them to full 5 stars or should I just spent the skill points. I got every Battle skill and passive could get for them at the moment (excludiing Lvl locked panels)

Since I've started playing the game I've only spend 350 rubies in the two first steps of the sofia/fiore banner. I didn't pulled till 5step because I already have fiore (my other 5* are lynette, viola, gilderoy and theo) and because I'm saving up for Cyrus. But now there is a high incentive with the compensation. S As a f2p should I pull to the 5 step to get Sofia and another 5* or should I keep saving in caution for a earlier cyrus release (I don't use to have luck with ny pulls)?

I think that considering your current roster of 5* is already quite strong, saving for Cyrus might be better. You could also maybe just hit Fiore and/or Sofia when you try to roll for Cyrus as well.

I do not plan to; the difference in magic stats and skill potencies between 4 and 5* characters is often just not a really fair comparison. Down the line, 4* characters will be able to significantly higher damage than now, but at that point 5* characters' damage ceilings will also have gone significantly up.

That is the meter for characters' Special Skills, which will be added to the game much later down the line.

Square won, opened wallet and got a 5 Primrose, I did have a 4.5 Lynette, so I’ll have to work on getting some knowledge and teams set up to maximize both of these lovely dancers in various teams. I appreciate your information about the characters, and hope to make my choices count in the long run with some planning.

I’m kinda curious what moves you would suggest to use on her, when the enemy is in Break. She has her 3 hit Dark, and her AOE, but would her 170 single target or 180 AOE be better? What are your thoughts?

For the sake of slot efficiency, I would pretty much never take her 170 single-target nuke in her kit. I would just use one of the dark skills I already bring in her kit as a nuking option.

Newbie here. I have a question for pulling a character you want. I want to pull Primrose so much but am I right in saying there is nothing special I can do to pull Primrose in particular? It looks like the pulls are just random for all. Thank you!

hey shizukatz thanks for the informative video as usual! With yesterday's patch I've been wondering if pulling on the step-up is worth it now, since its technically 2 guaranteed 5 stars for only 1200 rubies. Value-wise it seems very generous but since the pool of characters are still the starting units I'm doubtful (i have lynette, millard 5* and viola, theo and sophia 4-5*)

You only get 1 guaranteed 5 star. The second one for Sofia/Fiore banner is a compensation; it won't happen again.

the game is way too good being a f2p jrpg on mobiie. exactly like another eden. but it also suffers the same issue. the actual value of monetization, is horrendous. HORRENDOUS. that being said, JP was still pretty generous with giving out currency eventually so you didnt suffer too much for 5 stars. but for now, i think eveyrone is saving for cyrus haha.

Primrose was not better than Lynette, the enemies that weak to dark is less than fire, the buff not much difference, I played jp ver and use just Lynette for buff, cleared much everything,
