That was an excellent setlist. San Antonio got a hell of a treat and to those that were there.......we witnessed something very rare and we will never see it again except of course this video which documents it thanks to Jason Jude. I would pay triple the price I paid for a ticket just to experience that one more time.

As someone who can sort-of/not-really play guitar, it impresses me when an artist is capable of singing while doing this stuff. Saw Chevelle last night, and what Pete Loeffler is able to do with his guitar while singing is extremely underrated. They were phenomenal. Seeing Primus in April w/2 of Maynard's bands. Should be good stuff.

Primus is always great. I'm very glad I caught their St. Paul, MN show towards the end of this tour. Pretty similar setlist but they did play a few songs I'd NEVER EVER seen them play before: Bob, Hamburger Train, Del Davis, Professor Nut Butter, LacquerHead. Personally one of my favorite Primus shows ever, even after all these years of tours and eras of performances, configurations, etc. To amaze and surprise with songs I thought I'd never see live, just incredible!
@MatChew75

I saw them open up for Rush in 1992 for the sailing the Seas of cheese tour and Rush was on roll the bones I believe and I was on a hit of red rose acid. Regardless if I was sober or not it was the most incredible show I've ever seen. seeing Primus open for rush one power Trio to another absolutely incredible my dream come true. and at that time you know they were my two favorite bands and they still are in my top five and of course my two favorite drummers Tim Alexander and Neil Peart. Tim is certainly my favorite drummer of The '90s yes even more so than Danny Carey. They're the two best drummers of the 90s without a doubt whether you put Tim first or Danny they're both amazing. But anyway I saw rush and Primus at UNO Lakefront Arena in New Orleans and then I saw Primus at Tipitina's back in 1990 or 91 for Frizzle fry. e I saw them at the state Palace Theater for the pork soda album in 93 and I also saw Primus at Lollapalooza on the Uno campus. I believe that was for Tales from the punch bowl. But after Tim left the band I just couldn't get into their music it wasn't the same with brain . not a big fan of Jay Lane either and green naugahyde. Of course I do like Jay Lane on the sausage album. But I did enjoy rhinoplasty and of course my favorite album with brain and that's anti-pop which is a lot like Frizzle fry. And they did a kick-ass song from it lacquer head. I would Gander that Tim's favorite album from Primus that he's not on is probably anti-pop cuz that's the album where brain sounds the most liked Mr Alexander. So yeah after 95 or 96 I didn't see Primus again until Charlie and the Chocolate Factory then the desaturating seven and now the tribute to rush and conspiranoia EP. But the show I saw in New Orleans most recently at the Saenger Theater was incredible they haven't lost a step this show is better than Charlie and the Chocolate Factory or the desaturating seven which was an amazing show. But the fact that they are doing a tribute to rush just put it over the top it was perfect I mean they played farewell to Kings absolutely to a tee. I was really thinking a lot about Neil during that performance I had a lot of feelings and emotions rushing through me at that point it was hard not to shed a few 😢 but cygnus X-1 book 1 Cinderella Man and Xanadu were unbelievable the whole album was. closer to the heart Madrigal and a farewell to Kings were Killer 2. But the songs that they did from the Primus albums were an excellent set list quite a few things from sailing the Seas of cheese and pork soda and a couple from Tales from the punch bowl. Of course they did something from the Brown album I believe the duchess and the proverbial mind spread and lacquer head from anti-pop. And then from their new EP they did conspiranoia and follow the fool. This is absolutely Kick-Ass new material from Primus it's better than the EP they did in 2004 animals should not try to act like people. Maybe eventually they'll come out with an LP and they can come back again cuz I would pay the money. I didn't get to see them when Tim Alexander debuted with him again during that EP in 2004 for the hallucio genetics tour and I think they were calling themselves Voltron at the time. I've got the DVD from Chicago it looks like an incredible show. But yeah the tribute to rush and farewell to Kings was truly special I know Neil is proud. You know I saw tool not too long ago in New Orleans at the Smoothie King Center and it was the best tool show I've ever seen but I thought the Primus show was a little better and of course you know it was more intimate and up close. I did have great seats for the tool show and I spent about $180 on them they're making a killing. But anyway enjoy and if you didn't see Primus on this tour I'm sure they will be back again or if you can catch them on this tour I would try I might drive up to Kentucky and see him again cuz I know they added a bunch of new shows

@@mat2093 I’ll totally go from New England to Nebraska. The only reason why I didn’t go to any of the shows in Boston was because by the time I checked the seating availability, they were all scattered around and not next to each other (so I couldn’t sit next to my dad). Plus, the seats sucked. I’ve already seen Primus in 2021 and the Frog Brigade last year, so I’ll just wait until they come around to MA again.

I was at this show and it was phenomenal. It was my second time to see Primus live and the first time to go to the Majestic Theater. It was legendary and it was a very rare occasion for Primus which puts this show at one of the coolest shows I've ever witnessed apart from Rush and Pink Floyd. This one is probably the most unique. There were some technical difficulties that occurred briefly causing crackling sounds but it was taken care of. I'm glad you managed to record the whole show Jason. Les Claypool is an entertainer. Show me another band that can relay surrealism through sound.

This was such a good show and Primus always put on a amazing show ever time I see them. What blew me away the most about this show however was that Herb played a Brain song!! Now I may be wrong, but as I recall whenever Tim "Herb" Alexander is the drummer, they don't play Brain songs live. Alternately, when Brain was the drummer, vice versa. As a drummer myself, this was a much appreciated treat to see Lacquer Head performed with the Les, Ler, and Herbie line up.

They played plenty of Herb songs when Brain was the drummer. And Herb has played songs from the Brain and Jay Lane eras since he re-joined in 2013.

I know Jay plays it all, and Brain played most the hits too, but it's Herbie that seems like he never plays brown and antipop tunes. He even took his time jumping in during lacquer head😂
