The last thing that Les Claypool’s bass playing needs is Lars drumming. Lars is a fucking awesome drummer for Metallica but I don’t think it would mesh well with les’s is playing. But I would pay good fucking money to see Primus and Metallica come together and take over the fucking world.

Primus please make a White Goblin continuation. I've never been so enamored with a piece of music in my life. I didn't think it was possible. And to think it's based on a children's picture book. Each and every listen leaves me speechless.
@AstroObjects7 ай бұрын
This guy know what's up. Let's get a continuation the white goblin story is awesome maybe even better
@dragan23247 жыл бұрын
I like how this is just a children's story book... but it's the old kind of children's story. It's not like "Bobby the rabbit went to his grandmas house, and they made an apple pie, and Bobby learned that it's good to work together", its "these little ravenous fiends aspired to greater and greater gluttonous and malicious acts, until the flowers got together and murdered all of them with the very stuff that they most desired. let this be a lesson"
@doobiesmoke156 жыл бұрын
You should write children's books!
@avosmash21215 жыл бұрын
@Gud Boi ...no dude. It's literally, as in actually a hundred percent, based on an actual children's book Les Claypool read over and over to his children during bedtime. He thought this book was so unique and cool, he wanted to make music around it. That's all. Go calm down, chill off the Infowars, and eat some jellybeans or something. Jiminy crickets.
@1d10tcannotmakeusername4 жыл бұрын
@@avosmash2121 The machine of our universe is attracted to patterns. What may happen in a fairy tale may very well happen somewhere in the real world, too. Due to the vastness of our universe combined with the theory that anything can exist, it is possible for basically anything to exist. There are 100 billion planets near the size of the earth and in the safe zone around their star (not too cold, not too hot) in our galaxy alone. There's probably a planet inhabited by intelligent lizards out there somewhere.
@avosmash21214 жыл бұрын
@@1d10tcannotmakeusername ....uh. Sure. That all may be very possibly so. ....still doesnt change the fact that what I said before is what this album is based upon. 😒 Doesnt have to reduce it to being anything bad or insignificant, just because its based on a specific children's story book by author Ul De Rico, and not a deeper metaphor about Hollywood conspiracies and other vague things. Its not my belief or theory, its right there in text on the actual cd album cover that I am physically sitting right next to this very moment. Les Claypool the man himself spoke about it in interviews. It's cool and all to apply your own extra personal meanings to a work of art, if you want to. But to claim thats what the full definite intent was on behalf of the artist, when they are still alive and plainly stated with no ambiguity what the core concept was, it is kinda silly to ascribe more so forcefully on their behalf, thats all. TLDR:....this is PRIMUS ya chuckleheads. Not TOOL. Relax once in a while. Not everything has to be densely over-complicated and heavy all the time.
@1d10tcannotmakeusername4 жыл бұрын
@@avosmash2121 And why did you use an emoji? You do realize that emojis degrade your argument most of the time, unless you're trolling or posting a meme. Also, what may be a storybook on Earth could be an actual event on some alien planet halfway across the universe.

The more I listen to this song the more I think it's one of the best songs they've ever written. It's not a banger the way Jerry Was A Race Car Driver, Tommy The Cat or John The Fisherman are, but it's so well done and a fine pice of rock music. Easily among their top 5 songs.

During the Green Naugahyde album tour which happened after the tour that happened once the album had already dropped, they did the whole album then an intermission and then the 2nd set BUT the title of the tour was something like "Naugahyde Live" so it pretty much gave it away. Ambushing the Storm only really hints at one song on the album. If the title of the tour were something like "An Evening With the Seven" then it'd be more obvious that they'd be playing the whole thing...
@roquesolorio88427 жыл бұрын
