The day they played football at a Prince concert. They have a survey every year for Superbowl Halftime performances and Prince has been #1. I think it's due to the fact that Prince was live. No recorded music. No lip singing either which Prince hated. Totally LIVE. And in the rain💜. By the way, that was Prince's personal stage. Shaped like the Love Symbol. Singing with him is Shelby J. This was her first time singing with Prince.

So cool. And yeah rude that they decided to play football during the concert

Simply...iconic. The set list calculus is rock-forward as you said since all of middle America is watching the game: We Will Rock You - a standard sports anthem (that even Prince haters will respond to); Let's Go... - a rock-oriented song and party starter; 1999/Baby I'ma... - allows for the use of a classic football tradition of a marching band & the brass sound that's such a huge part of PRN's music; Proud Mary - play something everybody knows, after all...grandpa's watching the game with the fam; Watchtower/Best of You - classic rock for the parents/modern rock for the youngins; Purple Rain - ...because, well, Purple Rain. 💜

Unbelievable performance. Live! The sheet thing I took that as just a cool silhouette. I didn’t take that as suggestive with the guitar placement at all. I just thought it was cool. He was so professional and I think they wanted a clean show due to the Janet Jackson half time show with Justin Timberlake. Loved this and thought the best half time show

I love this reaction. A little more context to this. This is after the Janet Jackson nipple super bowl. NFL and media wanted some one they thought would be FCC safe. They picked Prince because of his righteous views. 😂😂So Prince only promised that it would be tasteful 😂✊🏿😎. It was 😂❤

The estate released a few books after Prince passed. One of them was about the instruments he had and in the photos you can see water damage from this performance. Fascinating. More so than nothing shorted out during the performance. Electricity and water usually don’t play well together. We were lucky to get to experience Prince while he was here.

#Super Bowl Great reaction. The producers of the show were worried about electrocution with the guitars and other equipment or someone falling on the wet slippery stage. The keyboard player at the time, Morris Hayes, said when they were done all the instruments died. They auctioned them off for charity.

Arsenio hall tv show 1991 Prince “let’s go crazy/Kiss” highly energetic performance. Prince 1991 mtv awards infamous sexual “Gett off” performance. Prince “DMSR” live in Detroit musicology tour 2004. A wild energetic performance. Any video from the 2009 montreux jazz festival prince concert. “Little red Corvette” (slow down version) a jazz rock version. “Love like Jazz” or “eye love u, but eye don’t trust I anymore”(heartbreak song-brilliantly sung in a jazz rendition).

If any fallacy, then “they” failed to “get” it. Prince had always said They was a They b4 They , was a gnder;) Hence the shape of the guitar ;) Foo fighters song is the Hendrix song and also why it was so popular and over played. Prince often “took back “ tracks covered unjustly 😅
