Hello everyone! I just wanted to clarify that Prince Félix and Princess Claire of Luxembourg's newborn son weighs 3.220 kilograms, not 3,220 kilograms. My apologies to all for my HUGE mistake. It's Monday.

No worries, the note is written in French, you read it in English. That’s the trick. In latin languages, the “.” Is for “thousand” and the “,” goes after “units”, in that case kilograms.

Princess Anisha , SHE IS the most beautiful girl my eyes ever seen..her mother very beautiful lady, Prince mateen lucky to have such a perfect girl , as well its the first time I ever seen Prince Mateen smiling, thisis his day...I think both are a perfect couple...very rare...In reality Princess Anisha more beautiful than in her royal wedding look, her natural face without make up, very angelic...It was soo good she did not put any fancy jewelry, her face more beautiful than any jewlery pieces...

The photograph of HM Queen Margrethe II at 7:54 is one of my favorites. It captures her beauty, her strength and capacity to lead. The Danish people have been blessed to have had her for such a long reign.

Thank you Alexandra for the excellent explanation of the throne change program in Denmark. I had not yet heard about the existence of the Fireworks to be held in honor of Queen Margarethe. In fact, due to the various activities she carried out, the good academic training she had in the area of Economic Sciences, Anthropology, and the number of languages she spoke, she was a peculiar Queen and well ahead of her time. May God protect her with a few good years to live in good health, and may the new Monarchs of Denmark be blessed with a Reign as successful as that of the Monarch who preceded them.

I'm a little confused about H.M. Queen Margrethe still being referred to as H.M. Queen Margrethe instead of H.M. Emerita Queen Margrethe after 14January. I understand preference but thought there could only be one Queen. Just confused
@TheRoyalCorrespondent

I concur, Joanne. I'm not sure why, but according to the Danish royal court, after January 14, 2024, she will be officially known as Her Majesty Queen Margrethe.

England had Queen Elizabeth II and her Mother was Queen Elizabeth the I and referred to as the Queen Mother.
@jonesnori
@jonesnori 7 ай бұрын
@@GGMCreatesI believe in English she would be known as "Her Majesty The Queen" right now. That will change to "Her Majesty Queen Margrethe". This is not unusual. The UK had three queens at once in 1952: Queen Mary, the widow of King George V, Queen Elizabeth, the widow of King George VI (and better known later as the Queen Mum), and the new Queen Elizabeth II. Queen Mary was near the end of her life, and passed before her granddaughter's coronation in 1953. The Queen Mum lived 50 more years, though, so there were two queens in the UK for a very long time. There was little difficulty telling them apart, even though they had the same name. I don't think Denmark will have problems, either.

As a person living in a republic but a monarchist at heart, seeing this lavish wedding of the Brunei crown Prince makes me wonder why some people in Europe complain about their royal families who live moderate lifestyles compared to the extravagant lifestyles of the Brunei royals and other absolute monarchies. Its quite unfair the way some people with republican sentiments in Europe complain about the moderate lifestyles of their royals. From a Nigerian Lagos, Nigeria 🇳🇬.

Brunei doesnt get wealth from colonizing, enslaving, geen o siding, plundering & looting other countries like most European royals & countries do. And Brunei also doesnt tax citizens. Their wealth are mostly coming from their own land mainly oil. And use portion of the wealth for the people, free health care & education & other things. The royals entitled to enjoy their clean money that arent stained by blood of the innocents, nor stolen from other countries nor taxed from their working citizens.

In Europe they use a comma instead of a decimal point; the child was probably closer to 3kg and a bit...😅

Why are the leaders of Luxembourg called The duke and duchess instead of King and Queen?

Hi Kendal, Luxembourg is a Grand Duchy and not a Kingdom.
@jonesnori
@jonesnori 7 ай бұрын
Of course, that just pushes the question back one step. Why are some realms grand duchies, some principalities, some kingdoms, and some empires? I expect the answer is historical, and related to the perceived importance of the realm back in the day. I'm guessing, though.

I don’t think baby Prince Balthazar weighed three thousand kilograms at birth. I think it was three and they used a comma instead of a full stop. It was poorly written. Imagine a three thousand kilo baby 😂😂😂

No, it wasn't poorly written. Some countries use the comma as the decimal marker and the period as the thousands separator. Many European countries do this. It was correctly written for the country in question, but rather startling for the average English speaker.
