Mally and David Skok take us on a tour around the beautiful Karoo town of Prince Albert. After lunch, they head out on the Weltevrede Road and explore the surrounding mountains.

What a wonderful place.I have visited many small South African towns and they all have wide streets with beautiful buildings with varied architecture. Some beautiful buildings I have seen in Victoria West but sadly being abandoned. Will definitely visit Prince Albert next time I get away from Cold England

I discovered Prins Albert Christmas 1999 and saw in the new year in the valley of desolation in Graafreinet . I made great friends in PA and returned every year since then up to 2007. Revisited in 2013. So many changes. The happiest of times the loveliest of people. Wild and warm.

David, you come across as a lovely, extremely patient man. Your wife is insufferable to say the least - I can only imagine how you long to be free at times! Excellent drone footage, extremely high quality video footage, and wonderful adventurous spirit capping it all off. Die Hel's road is quite benign really, with some rocky spots towards the end. Easily done in a regular car with some care. Prins Albert has changed so much since I was last there in 2007 odd. Its become quite a hoity toity hamlet! Thanks for the upload mate.

Ahhh I enjoyed this so much. There are a handful of places I've fallen in love with at first sight, and Prince Albert was definitely one. The relief at not having died on the Swartberg Pass road might have contributed, but the feeling of first driving into the town at dusk was magical, and it just got better from there. We also stayed at the Dennehof which is probably my favourite guest house in the world, sadly now also sold. Watching this after being trapped in the cold grey rainy UK for 18 months, it seems as unlikely I could have been there as flying to the moon 😭

Hi guys, I happened on your video again. What a blast. Last time I enquired about dear Emmy, and you said that she has her good days. I do hope all is well with Emmy. She's a fellow Cancerian, and what a lovely creature!!! I have to say, looking ay the video again, Mally is sooo her mother's daughter, both interms of looks and mannerism. Lol I've long since moved on, used to be a Woolies manager in Plett and attended a great B day bash of her's. It actually was the biggest and party if that entire year! Do let me know if she's still with us. All I can say, is what a lady!!! Xxx!!!

Jacques, how nice of you to write with such kind comments about Emmy. Sadly she passed away in 2021. She was about 90, so had lived a good life.
