Prince Ali (Mashup Duet) - Robin Williams & Will Smith

Tried my hand at some magic so I could blend both versions of "Prince Ali" by Robin Williams and Will Smith. Some parts might sound funky due to shrinking/stretching parts of the songs, but it's the best I could do with the time and software I have haha. Hopefully someone can come along and make a better version! But for now, please enjoy!

Victorio Advincula most of the impressions or comedic lines were improvised, like the opening segment where Robin Williams is the merchant. They’d do multiple takes, filter out the non-PG humor that Robin was apt to do, and take the best lines for the movies.

That line is Robin Williams doing an impression of self-deprecating comedian Rodney Dangerfield (the animators even drew Dangerfield's famous eyes). Dangerfield was especially famous in the '80s for films like Caddyshack. He's also been dead for quite a while. Aladdin, of course, was recorded in 1991 with Robin doing 16 hours of improv. You can see in the outtakes that he was just cycling through a huge Rolodex of impressions like crazy. Disney animators have been known to get together and just watch his recording booth footage, which has never been released in full (it's definitely not all rated G). Robin also cheered up Spielberg on the phone while he was filming Schindler's List with Genie improv. Aladdin wasn't eligible for Best Screenplay at the Oscars because too much of it was improv by Robin.

this is absolutely amazing! my one criticism is that some of the earlier lines be broken up between the two genies like you did later in the song. like say they were both competing for the lead, Will Smith Genie taking up the frontal position like a conductor or Ring-Leader for a circus kind of character, and Genie while often steeling the show is focused more on using his magic in sneaky ways like the shape-shifting scenes . and have the two play off that dynamic.
