Good video but I will stick with Sportage. It’s an established brand. CVT in light vehicles is ok but this vehicle is heavy. Also non turbo engines last much longer. Peace of mind is more important than features. Sportage FWD fuel economy is same as Civic 1.8 L.

@dabbay your reviews are excellent and realistic I think Story of CKD assembly is not a new thing in Pakistan we have seen in past companies import CBUs and then CKDs initially for 5 years due to discounted govt policy, after 5 years when these companies were supposed to Start localization if components in actual they have not done enough localization so ultimately after 5 years they run away and after some time start another brand as per new auto policy.

That is true for the chinese entrants in Pakistan, but then we also see a new comer like KIA which is giving us brilliant products at excellent pricing. The Pakistani car market is going to change, there are only two main players, the auto makers and the investors (read scalpers) and only one of them can survive in this onslaught. I dont know about that, we need to realize that its an auto marketing company first but they still try to be the consumer voice to an extent. Sadly we dont have any enthusiast websites or journals for our car industry, and a marketing company can only go so far as not to hurt its own revenue stream.

Just did a price comparison according to the given price. Glory 580pro Prices in PKR : Indonesia: 3,948,031 🇵🇰 Bangladesh: 6,311,870 🇵🇰 Sri lanka: 10,094,831 🇵🇰 Given only in Indonesia the price is lower than pakistan & the difference is not that big and yes civic is also expensive in these countries than pakistan 🇵🇰 I think glory is fairly priced.

that is why I mentioned the market segment difference, Check in all of these markets Glory is priced below a corolla or civic. But in Pakistan it is priced above even the RS civic. the price of an entity can vary from region to region dependant upon the taxes and other factors, but the market segments mostly remain the same. Its not just Glory but all of the chinese cars in Pakistan are over priced as they are being sold above their segment. Or you can say that the premium brands are cheaper in Pakistan if u take chinese prices as standard. Glory, MG HS, Alsvin are all massively over priced,. Haval cars prices are so insane that I dnt even wanna comment. Right now with all the bling Pakistanis are under the impression they are getting a fair deal , but once the bling wears out and the common car issues would surface, it would be apparent to all.

Well, what's your suggestion for one who is looking for 7 seater (a family car/suv)... Since your love "Sportage" can't accommodate 7 people i guess .. ?? For 5 seater I totally agree with you that Sportage and X70 are better options ..infact Sportage outshines since it has 2.0 L natural aspirated engine...

lol @ love sportage. My gripe is with the price of glory/pro. As I said in the video no one can predict the reliability of these new chinese cars. If 7 seats is a must then glory and BRV are the only options as sorento is pretty expensive. In the long run an NA engine will always be better than a turbo.

Well bro, seems like you are pretty much scared from label I guess (Chinese product)... MG is fully Chinese, Haval is too, pricing around 60 LACS, all with 1.5T engines... I guess Glory 580 Pro is not be compared with any 5 seater crossover/sedan, its quite unfair...some are costlier and some are at almost same price due to more features and big brands... Glory 580 Pro comparison should be with BRV, Sorentro, and Fortuner... One can easily determine for which 7 seater one can go for..according to budget, features, comfort, utility, reliability, etc, etc.....what you say...?

right now kia sportage is the best choice, in every market it is a superior car to any of the chinese cars avilable in Pakistan. MG HS or Glory are lower segment than sportage. X70 is also a good option as it is still closer price point to sportage. X50 would be better than x70 once it is launched, but I dnt think we can expect x50 before 2023

However if u are looking for a short term investment, maybe a chinese car can get you good money, but 4 -5 years down the line every turbo car will drop its value. You might even see a used turbo civic price lower than the 1.8

In pakistan civic is not manufactured at global standards regarding different specs and thats why cheap compared to other countries. If civic in pakistan was of Australian standard it would easily cost around 55-60 lac. The new civic 2022 is expected to be of global standard and has expected price of more then 60 lac. With specs like glory 580 pro or more, it will have very high price then glory. So glory is very fairly priced in pakistan.

they are all marketing manuvers, a 7 speed cvt is same as a 10 speed cvt. cvt-i is just a marketing term like x-cvt or xtronic cvt etc. WIll do a detail video on gearboxes and CVT inshallah.

Plz keep in mind that sportage is sold at one class above even mg hs and x70 etc the world over. I dnt think that comparing sportage with glory is correfct. Alpha has no stability control, which is really bad, but otherwise its a very nice product.
